Basically it's the company introduction, but they also do an initial screen within it — they ask you about some terms and questions, then write down your explanations for the hiring manager. They'll tell you they're using a Google Meet transcript for this; if you don't want that, the recruiter just listens to you and matches keywords instead.
Some of what they asked about:
- Experience in Infra as Code
- Experience with any firmware, fleet management solutions, etc.
- Running a homelab?
- Experience with bare metal
- K8s — what is a reconciliation loop, workload management strategy
- Routing tables, how they work
It went by pretty fast so I don't remember everything clearly. It was roughly all AI inference + cloud stuff. Feels kind of similar to what Mithril AI does.
The process is roughly: after this HR round there are still 2-3 more technical rounds — first the hiring manager, then a team member, and finally it seems you interview with the CEO. Classic startup process.
