My Warner Bros. Discovery interview process, which dragged on for over a month, is finally over.
CNN division - JS Senior Full Stack
HR screening - they got to know my background, my reasons for job searching, and touched on a few technical-related questions.
Technical Screening - live coding, with two Senior developers on the other side. Very simple: given an array and an integer k, shift left by k, then right shift.
The next day HR gave me interview feedback - very positive. They scheduled the Final round: 3 hours, 3 rounds back to back.
System design
Behavioral - Hiring Manager
Coding
System design - design an ad content delivery system + A/B testing
Behavioral - HR gives you a booklet before the interview, and you prepare a few stories based on the core values in it.
Coding - another round of live coding, string matching. Input a CSV and a single keyword, return the row number and position where that word appears. Variant: multiple keywords.
I didn't manage my time well on the system design round, things moved slowly, and in the end there was no time to deep dive - that's probably the main reason I got rejected.
Even though I felt I did well in the last two rounds, I still didn't get an offer.
Still job searching.
