ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer interview: OA and two technical interviews

After applying, I completed an online assessment with LeetCode-style problems, prompts about emails, and fit questions. I then had two technical interviews, each combining behavioral questions and LeetCode coding. One coding question was medium and another hard. The ones I remember most involved BFS and strings. I received an offer. What stood out was that behavioral and technical evaluation were…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer interview: coding and repository bug fix

The online assessment had two back-to-back coding tasks. The first was one coding question with a 45-minute limit. The second was a repository task where I fixed a bug in a project and spent about an hour getting it working. The coding question was long and detailed, almost like day-to-day work. The repository debugging made it harder because I had to make the system work end to end, not merely w…

Quality CARE India Account Executive interview: assignments and shadowing

The process felt excessive and stressful. Before the final interview, I completed many materials, study and training items, and hours of job shadowing. The assignments and tests later seemed disconnected from the interviews, as though the work was never referenced or acknowledged. The recruiter stayed in contact, but there was little follow-through afterward. I did not receive an offer. The main…

SLB Software Engineer interview: Java concepts and linked lists

The technical interview focused on Java concepts and data-structures fundamentals. I was asked about OOP, including the idea behind an "oops" concept and what variables to declare when creating an object. There were also linked-list questions. The questions were not presented as tricks. They tested whether my everyday Java knowledge and core data-structures understanding were really there. The qu…

SharkNinja Software Engineer interview: two calls and no response

I had two interviews, first with a hiring manager and then a team member. Each was about half an hour. The conversations felt natural, and I left both believing I had explained my background clearly and that the fit was there. Even so, I never heard back. After completing both conversations, the process seemed to lose momentum, leaving me feeling sidelined and wondering whether I had missed a fin…

Rocket Lab Software Engineer interview: technical-project presentation

A recruiter scheduled the interview, which began with a presentation about my strongest technical project. The rest was a conventional mix of technical and behavioral conversations about my engineering experience. The process seemed designed to connect what I had built with how I solve day-to-day problems. There were no extreme gotchas, just steady evaluation of my technical approach and team fit…

SAS Software Engineer interview: aptitude test and two virtual rounds

After a recruiter step, I took a virtual aptitude and technical multiple-choice test. Clearing it led to the interview rounds. The first virtual technical interview had two interviewers and covered data structures and algorithms, C, memory management, and database concepts. A second virtual round mixed technical and managerial questions about my projects, DSA coding, and situational and behaviora…

Super Micro Computer Software Engineer interview: edit distance, Locker design, and offer

During the coding round, I realized the problem was the same edit-distance question I had practiced shortly before. I then had a system design discussion about Amazon Locker, where I reasoned through components and customer flows. The last round used behavioral questions tied to leadership principles. I had to connect examples to specific principles and explain my actions and results. The process…

Super Micro Computer Software Engineer interview: AI-assisted website bug fix

The online assessment had four parts. It opened with a medium-to-hard DSA problem, followed by a work simulation where I fixed a website bug using AI. The remaining sections were behavioral questions. Later stages also leaned heavily on personal experience rather than being a pure coding showcase. The AI-assisted simulation was the surprising part because AI was part of how they expected the task…

Uline Software Engineer interview: sales aptitude tests and unclear role expectations

Before I reached an interview, I completed several assessments that felt unrelated to software engineering. One was a sales aptitude test full of sales terminology. When I questioned it, I was told it measured speed and agility. That explanation still didn't connect it to my day-to-day work. There were more timed assessments during the interview, and nobody could clearly explain how their results…

Tredence Software Engineer interview: React, Node.js, SQL, and scenarios

After a recruiter touchpoint, I had a technical screen about a week later. The process included three technical discussions and another technical round at their office. The difficulty was easy to medium, and the recurring topics were React, Node.js, and SQL. They combined basic DSA questions with scenarios about common web-app problems. The final in-person round stayed with the same themes instea…

The Walt Disney Software Engineer interview: graph problem and streaming projects

After a recruiter phone call, I had a focused 45-minute technical interview with the hiring manager. I was given a graph problem that began with a BFS-style approach, then the conversation shifted to my background. We discussed data-streaming projects, including Kafka, and design patterns. They were testing whether I could connect algorithm fundamentals to systems I had actually built. The call w…

The Home Depot Account Executive interview: quick hire and orientation

After I applied, the process moved fast and felt almost too straightforward. The interview included a department walk-through and an explanation of the day-to-day role. The atmosphere was relaxed and low-pressure, with basic questions about clear communication, schedule fit, and simple customer-service situations. I was scheduled for orientation about two weeks later, with training included. It t…

Tesla Software Engineer interview: resume detail and controls fundamentals

Most of the interview started as a resume overview, then became technically detailed. The interviewer repeatedly returned to what I had written and asked me to explain it, as if they were checking that I understood the details rather than merely listing them. The technical questions covered PID and closed-loop control systems, including sensors. The hardest part was connecting those fundamentals…

I had two rounds for a Target Roundel Account Manager role. The first was a recruiter conversation. Tripadvisor Software Engineer interview: fizz buzz technical prompt

I had an easy, straightforward process. The meeting invitation arrived well before the interview, which gave me time to prepare, and communication about the process was clear. Accenture Federal Services Software Engineer interview: canceled after scheduling

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
