Meta UX/UI Designer interview: full loop canceled before schedule

I began with a recruiter phone screen and then met the hiring manager. The hiring manager told me to prepare for the full loop, so I organized around completing the rest of the process. The full-loop interview was canceled one day before it was scheduled because the role no longer existed. I never reached the later rounds. Having completed the early steps and prepared for more, I felt disappointe…

Google Software Engineer interview: varying difficulty and interviewer tone

One Google path started with an online assessment and then an interview if accepted. My question was LeetCode medium to hard, although I had heard that others received easier ones. My first interviewer was somewhat rude, which made it harder to stay comfortable and confident while working through the problem. I also encountered a recruiter-led path with a pre-interview stage followed by two short…

Google Software Engineer interview: four scenario-heavy technical rounds

I expected a standard coding and behavioral loop, but Google put me through four technical deep dives that were much more scenario heavy. I presented a real customer issue, then completed a cognitive-analysis-style round that asked how I would begin thinking about large-scale infrastructure. The next technical discussions covered infrastructure or platform and AI-related problem solving. I was ex…

Microsoft Software Engineer interview: respectful manager and technical rounds

I had two Microsoft interviews: one with the hiring manager and one technical interview. Both were respectful and kind, which made the process less stressful than the usual hiring loop. The recruiter was responsive, so the wait did not drag on. The manager conversation was professional and supportive, and the technical interview had the same tone. It felt like a discussion rather than a harsh cro…

Hays Technology Consultant interview: contract role changed to stage

A Hays Technology recruiter contacted me about a stage placement even though I had applied for a contract position. When I declined the internship option, the recruiter said they would check whether a contract was possible and update me. That update never came. I tried to contact them, but the only eventual response was a LinkedIn message with no meaningful follow-up. My calls and messages went n…

Applied Medical Software Engineer interview: resume-based panel

I started with a recruiter phone screen about my background, why I wanted the company and role, school, and prior work. About a week later, I met an engineering manager and several engineers from the team in an in-person panel. That panel stayed close to my resume and projects. The follow-ups asked for specifics about what I had done and how I approached the work. It was less puzzle heavy than ma…

Amazon Kuiper Commercial Services Software Engineer interview: leadership and ownership stories

My online assessment combined coding with a work-style survey. The phone interview after it was entirely behavioral. I had to organize past experiences into STAR-style answers: the situation, the task I owned, what I did and what happened as a result. The recruiter and interview structure came up early. The process included an initial recruiter check, the OA and interviews with a strong focus on…

Amazon DSP Software Engineer interview: DSA-heavy assessment

I applied, completed a technical assessment, and then interviewed with several team members. The OA included two DSA-style questions and a behavioral or work-style component. I remember Two Sum and a longest-substring-without-repeating-characters question. The later technical interviews used similar easy-to-medium DSA questions. I made it through the process and was selected and accepted. Even so…

Amazon DSP Software Engineer interview: ML, CS, and HR breadth

I went through two rounds. The first was a technical assessment, followed by an HR round. The technical questions were mid-to-difficult and covered ML concepts as well as computer-science fundamentals, so it was not just DSA trivia. HR reviewed my resume and asked HR questions. That made the process feel like an attempt to connect my background and projects to how I would work day to day. The int…

Amazon DSP Software Engineer interview: three-month onsite wait

My Amazon DSP process slowed down after the OA. It took around three months to hear about an onsite at the New York office, where I had an SWE round and a managerial round back to back. The initial assessment had two coding problems, one algorithmic and one mathematical, plus a short work-style survey. After that screen, I completed a 45-minute phone interview focused on behavioral questions and…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview: Two Sum and substring

The process began with an OA containing two DSA questions and behavioral questions. One was an easy Two Sum-style problem; the other was the medium problem of finding the longest substring without repeating characters. I then had one interview with two more easy-to-medium DSA questions. The live round followed the same pattern: use familiar techniques cleanly under time pressure and explain the r…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview: STAR stories and two design questions

I started with an online assessment containing two coding problems, one more algorithmic and the other more mathematical, plus a short work-style survey. After I passed it, I had a phone interview focused entirely on behavioral questions. I used STAR to describe past experiences and had to be deliberate about setting up each story, explaining what I'd done and giving the results. After that scree…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview: delayed New York onsite

After the OA, I waited about three months before Amazon Advertising invited me to an onsite in New York. The onsite was condensed into back-to-back rounds: SWE-style interviews followed by a managerial round. The long delay cost me some momentum before the loop began. Once it started, the technical conversations were straightforward, and the manager-adjacent discussion looked at how I would opera…

NeoSOFT Software Engineer interview: coding and client discussion

The NeoSOFT process moved through aptitude, coding, a managerial round, and HR. The coding questions were practical algorithm exercises: reverse a string without built-in methods, test for a palindrome, find duplicates, get the second-largest element, generate Fibonacci numbers, and remove duplicate array values. The interviewer was supportive and kept the conversation professional. I also went t…

Aurecon Software Engineer interview

I completed a one-way recorded interview, then was invited to meet several people from the team in person. HR scheduling moved quickly. Some people were relaxed and conversational, while other parts of the day felt more formal. The in-person questions were mostly behavioral. I discussed my background, working with others, and handling disagreement or conflicting ideas with colleagues. In one scen…

AtkinsRéalis Software Engineer interview

The interview itself was structurally simple, but the silence afterward was what I remembered. There was no rejection email or recruiter call after the interview, only no response, which made it difficult to know where I stood. The conversation was okay and relied heavily on examples from past experience. The interviewer used many prompts tied to ICE-style attributes, including repeated "tell me…

The online assessment had two coding problems, one algorithmic and one mathematical, plus a short work-style survey. After I passed it, I had one phone interview that was entirely behavioral. ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer interview: four one-hour conversations and AI usage

After an early recruiter stage, I had an Amazon-style loop over two days: four one-hour conversations in total. It was long, but the questions were not impossibly hard. The rounds mixed system design, LeetCode-style coding, and behavioral questions tied to Amazon's style and principles. I was also asked how I think about using AI in real work, rather than only in theory. Communication mattered th…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer interview: three technical rounds and a behavioral final

I started with an online assessment and then spoke with a recruiter. Next came four rounds over two days, each about an hour. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
