Software Engineer interview at ADCI - Karnataka: networking depth

A phone screen began with my ongoing work and projects, but every answer led to deeper follow-up. I used STAR-style stories to keep the conversation structured as the interviewer drilled into my experience. The technical part covered TCP/IP and routing topics including OSPF and BGP. The interview assessed both how I described impact and ownership and whether I could reason through practical netwo…

Software Engineer interview at ADCI - Karnataka: difficult DSA and GenAI

The process moved from an OA-style round to DSA and then a GenAI-focused round, but late stages still included LeetCode-style DSA work. One problem used graph algorithms and another required more ad-hoc reasoning; both felt genuinely hard. Amazon Leadership Principles shaped the behavioral framing throughout, linking impact and ownership to problem solving. The difficulty kept rising, especially…

Software Engineer interview at Accenture Technology: virtual and office rounds

The process moved quickly through several rounds. The early conversations were virtual, while a later round took place at an Accenture office, which made the interaction feel more direct. Recruiter and later rounds kept returning to my background, work history, and fit for the role. The difficulty was average and the interviews seemed intended to confirm consistency rather than introduce unrelate…

Software Engineer interview at Accenture Technology: early rejection and rapid manager call

I reached the online-assessment stage but did not advance. The rejection email was polite, so the stop felt more respectful than silent. In another hiring-manager conversation, I was asked only a few questions about my projects and was asked to explain them. It ended in under five minutes, without a deep technical discussion. These early experiences felt lightweight and did not always let me demo…

Software Engineer interview at ZF Group: behavioral manager discussion

I first had a recruiter phone screen focused on my background and whether I was genuinely aligned with the role. It was more about getting to know me than technical grilling. The manager interview used STAR-style behavioral questions, with a couple of light technical trivia questions as a change of pace. The experience was smooth, and I received an offer. The format suited the role because it put…

Software Engineer interview at TSMC: presentation follow-ups

I began with a self-introduction presentation of about ten minutes. My supervisor asked questions from what I presented and sometimes interrupted, so I had to respond in real time rather than treat the presentation as a formality. The team then explained its work and responsibilities, and I was able to ask questions. The process felt structured and respectful. Its main challenge was handling acti…

Project Manager interview at TransPerfect: no feedback after a good first round

In my first interview, I discussed my background, skills, motivation for the role, and interest. I felt I explained myself clearly and that the discussion went well. I was not selected to proceed after that round and was not given a reason. The lack of feedback made it difficult to know whether the issue was improvement, timing, or fit. I did not receive an offer; the conversation itself was posi…

Software Engineer interview at ADCI - Karnataka: DSA and GenAI

The process had two compact rounds. In the first, I solved two medium LeetCode-style DSA problems and discussed a project. The second combined one DSA question with basic GenAI questions and more project discussion about both individual and team work. The difficulty felt reasonable, but I had to explain my answers clearly and connect technical decisions to leadership-principle ideas such as trade…

Account Executive interview at Quality CARE India: assessments and knowledge test

The process started with a recruiter phone call and then an in-person recruiter meeting. I next completed two assessment rounds using material provided ahead of time, one on states and another on logistics knowledge. After those assessments, I took a knowledge test and had another conversation that included the hiring manager. The sequence had several checkpoints before I moved forward. I receive…

Software Engineer interview at Anaplan: collaborative pair programming

I began with a recruiter introduction to align on expectations and discuss my background. Technical conversations then went deeply into projects I had actually worked on rather than trying to catch me with gotcha questions. In pair programming, I debugged and coded collaboratively, with attention to how I approached problems. I later presented a system to the hiring manager and discussed tradeoff…

Software Engineer interview at Rupeek: DSA and system design

My SDE 3 process took about three weeks and had four rounds covering DSA and design. After an initial coding or assessment stage, I tackled medium problems such as coin change and trapping-rain-water-style questions. Another round covered Java, Spring, REST APIs, fundamentals, and design decisions. The design work included low-level design for a health-app-style scenario and high-level design for…

Data Engineer interview at Facebook: unclear bookstore scenario

After a recruiter screen, I went into a technical conversation that felt tougher than the preparation materials. The difficulty was not only coding or SQL. A scenario resembling a bookstore checkout system was described too vaguely for me to know the intended behavior, and the interviewer did not help clarify it. Once I understood what to build, I worked through it, but the experience still felt…

Business Analyst interview at First Trust Capital Management: concise virtual discussion

After my application was reviewed, I received an email confirmation and a call to set up the virtual interview. I spoke with two people for about half an hour about role-relevant knowledge, my current process, and challenges I faced. They also asked whether I could work an EMEA shift. In a similar flow, HR scheduled a technical round after an assessment, with two interviewers. Neither account des…

Software Engineer interview at Finacle: backend fundamentals and poor conduct

My technical round covered JavaScript and Node.js, real-time-style problems, SQL, and React basics. One practical coding task involved transactions and locking. The questions generally connected web and server-side fundamentals back to my resume and the role. The atmosphere was not consistently constructive. In one experience, an interviewer laughed when I struggled, which made the discussion fee…

Financial Analyst interview at Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management: SuperDay

After a resume drop and recruiter call, I completed a one-way video interview. The HireVue felt like a difficult gate, with tougher questions than I expected and advancement that felt uncertain. Later I attended a SuperDay with three back-to-back interviews lasting about 30 to 45 minutes each. Most of the SuperDay questions were behavioral, but they demanded precise, prepared examples and clear f…

Software Engineer interview at HP SCDS: bilingual and multi-person rounds

The first conversation felt personable and dynamic rather than rigid. It was short and split between English and Catalan/Castellano. We discussed my experience, goals, ambitions, and how my story fit the company and role, without the sense that anyone was trying to trap me. Another sequence began with HR, then a peer screen, an in-person peer round, and an in-person manager round. The in-person m…

Financial Analyst interview at J.P. Morgan: HireVue and Superday

I applied with my resume and experience, selected preferred locations, and was then invited to HireVue. About a month later, the next step was a Superday. Project Manager interview at Migso-Pcubed: discourteous process

The HR conversation started well and felt calm and fluid, but the manager interview was frustrating. I had the impression that the manager was discovering my CV during the call even though it seemed it should already have been reviewed. I felt spoken down to, and the meeting ended quickly when I said where I lived, which made the evaluation feel rushed. In a related part of the process, an HR mee…

Data Engineer interview at Meta Platforms: timed Python and SQL screen

I started with a recruiter-style conversation and moved quickly to a one-hour technical screen split between Python and SQL. It felt less like a search for a novel algorithm than a test of speed and complete execution…

Data Engineer interview at Meta Logistics: ambiguous technical prompt

After a standard screen, I had a technical conversation with a TA that felt harder than the preparation material. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
