DoorDash Data Scientist interview: SQL and case rounds with one missed concept

After a recruiter screen, I had two screening rounds involving SQL and a case study, followed by more case-study rounds. The onsite-style loop also included a meeting with a cross-functional partner, and I later spoke with a hiring manager. The setup was professional and moved quickly. The data-science questions were not easy. I had done well on the early screens and one case, but a later case br…

Burns & McDonnell Software Engineer interview: video prompts and recruiter chat

After connecting with recruiting, the process felt manageable and slightly casual. I first completed a video pre-screen with a small number of prompts displayed on screen. It was just me answering, with little back and forth. Next came a virtual recruiter conversation lasting about 30 to 45 minutes. It was mostly behavioral and focused on my background and fit. The recruiter was genuinely nice, a…

AT&T Account Executive interview: late arrivals and silence after extra step

The recruiter joined my screen about 15 minutes late. When the interview began, other people were gathered around the recruiter’s desk watching, which made me uncomfortable. The main portion was a long run of behavioral questions. I could answer them, but I did not get much clarity about the role or company, and some of my questions went unanswered. I was told I had advanced to a final interview,…

Amgen Software Engineer interview: technical deep dive and leadership fit

The Amgen process was unusually well organized. The recruiting team gave clear timelines and transparent communication, which made it feel professional and predictable. The first round was virtual and used a deep technical assessment of core competencies, problem solving, and real-world scenarios. The second was face to face and moved away from straight coding into leadership, cultural fit, and s…

Nokia Software Engineer interview: unexpected technical questions at first contact

I expected the first Nokia call to be a casual introduction, with technical work scheduled later. Instead, the interviewer began asking technical questions immediately, without warning or transition. Although the role was described like a networking internship, I was asked software and coding questions. I had prepared for an introductory conversation, so I did not feel I had a realistic chance to…

Meta UX/UI Designer interview: peer rounds followed by a bench wait

I went through three peer interview rounds with technical and behavioral parts. The format matched what I had seen for this type of role, and the technical questions lined up with the resources I had found beforehand. After those rounds, I expected a decision to move forward. Instead, I was told to wait while they decided which team or role might fit me. I understood it as something like being he…

Amazon DSP Software Engineer interview: one HackerRank-to-linked-list round

After clearing an online HackerRank coding round, I had a single one-hour technical interview with one senior software engineer. They asked one linked-list question. The conversation was straightforward, and I felt reasonably prepared, but I was rejected after that round. It was not chaotic or unfair, just unusually compact. My takeaway was that a smooth process and an in-bounds question still le…

Amazon Development Center U.S. Software Engineer interview: SDE Intern assessment mix

The SDE Intern process was described as a mix of coding ability, problem solving, computer-science fundamentals, and Leadership Principles fit. It began with an OA, then continued through rounds on leadership principles and core subjects, DSA, and more leadership-principle evaluation. The exact timeline could vary by country and hiring season, but the stated structure kept coding and fundamentals…

Amazon Development Center U.S. Software Engineer interview: compact linked-list screen

I had about two rounds, split between behavioral and technical work. The technical questions were LeetCode-style and mostly easy to medium, so I initially expected to move through them cleanly. I solved a couple of questions on a coding platform and then reached a single technical round with one linked-list problem. It required careful structural thinking rather than pattern recall. I did not get…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview: four mixed technical and leadership rounds

I had four one-hour rounds that combined behavioral questions with technical work: behavioral, low-level design, DSA, and an AI-focused behavioral and DSA round. Amazon Leadership Principles appeared throughout rather than as an afterthought. The DSA portions used classic LeetCode-style problems. One technical conversation also went into networking, with follow-ups that deepened each answer. I us…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview: linked-list final after coding

I cleared an initial coding round by solving two questions, then moved to one technical interview lasting about an hour. That interview had a single linked-list question, and the setup felt straightforward compared with the earlier assessment. I was still rejected. What stayed with me was how quickly one problem became the final decision. There was not much room to recover from even a slight mism…

Anduril Software Engineer interview: C++ screen and graph clusters

I went through a familiar sequence: recruiter contact, a technical coding screen, and an on-site. In the Zoom technical round, we briefly covered my background before moving into C++. I had to read basic lines of code and explain pointers, references, lambdas, and move semantics. The second half was a programming challenge using depth-first search to identify node clusters in a graph. The on-site…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: Java and backend scenarios

The technical process was built around Java and backend-style tools. I discussed Java, Spring Boot, SQL, Azure, and Terraform. The questions moved from concepts into scenario-based project problem solving, and I had to explain my project work and how I approached problems in it. Coding was part of the technical work, and the medium-paced interview lasted under an hour, around 45 minutes. I felt p…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: fundamentals under an unsupportive tone

The technical questions covered fundamentals such as mergesort, trees, graphs, and basic DSA. I was also asked about my resume and projects, including MERN, HTTP methods, React, Java, and C++. The subject matter was understandable, but when I struggled, the interviewer’s reaction felt unprofessional to me. That changed the tone and made it harder to settle into a smooth problem-solving rhythm. I…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: project walkthrough and optimized DSA

The interview began with my introduction and a detailed walkthrough of my project. The interviewer kept asking about my implementation, approach, and what I personally contributed, so it felt like a real discussion instead of a checklist. Then I moved to DSA, where I had to give a brute-force approach before optimizing it. The final part covered Operating Systems, OOP, Computer Networks, DBMS, an…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: DSA, SQL, and systems panel

I had a campus-style interview with two people that lasted about an hour. The first interviewer asked LeetCode-style DSA problems and SQL questions. The discussion was interactive and friendly, while still grounded in fundamentals and my resume. We…

Electronic Arts (Ea) Software Engineer interview: mismatched technical expectations

After a recruiter call, I had five interviews: recruiter contact, a hiring manager, and three final-round interviews. I depended on the recruiter for preparation guidance, but the details were too vague to tell me what to study. The system-design round was framed first as technical architecture and then as mostly frontend React, but React barely mattered. Instead I faced OOP, performance optimiza…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid.
