Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Software Engineer interview: frontend work and simple coding

The interview opened with my frontend and integration experience: React.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and API integration. We then discussed projects and how I solved problems while building. Programming questions appeared in the conversation too. I walked through simple tasks such as reversing strings, followed by related prompts. The HR portion was more conversational, covering interes…

Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Business Analyst interview: client call and Hong Kong HR round

After a recruiter screen, I had a video call with the client and project admin. They asked about the technical stack I had used, client and stakeholder communication, and my project-management experience: what I delivered, coordinated, and did to manage expectations. About a week later, I went on site to the Hong Kong office for an HR round. That stage was more straightforward, focused on fit and…

IBM Software Engineer interview: automation testing, then manager fit

The technical interview was direct about testing and engineering fundamentals. We discussed my automation-testing experience, C# and Python, Selenium, BDD concepts, and how those topics connected to my own projects. The final round was with a hiring manager and focused on problem-solving, communication, and fit. I had to describe challenges I had handled and place the role in the context of real…

Datadog Solutions Engineer interview: presentation cancelled after the role was filled

I reached the presentation stage after initial screens and a HackerRank assessment. It was due to be in person, and I put considerable effort into preparing something I felt confident presenting. Late the day before, a message said the role had already been filled and I didn't need to come in. The timing felt awful after all the preparation I'd done that week. Later, HR said they appreciated my p…

Cisco Software Engineer interview: a broad and difficult online assessment

The OA was difficult from the beginning and covered far more than I'd expected. It mixed multiple-choice questions, coding and several subjective scenario sections. One section used short passages followed by questions I had to answer in words. Switching from coding to those judgment-based tasks was immediately challenging. The coding was hard too, requiring both speed and correctness. My backgro…

Capgemini Software Engineer interview: business cases, Excel, and VBA

The process was concise: a recruiter phone screen, a technical conversation about a Java or React project, and a behavioral final round. Each stage lasted about half an hour, so it felt designed for quick decisions. The technical part relied on business-case questions and knowledge outside typical coding. I discussed basic Excel and Power BI, Excel and VBA, and how I handled business problems thr…

NVIDIA QA Engineer interview: project walkthrough, DSA, and a long timeline

After an initial recruiter step, I moved toward an on-site technical interview. First came a difficult DSA-focused round. Then, in a virtual interview, I had to explain a project line by line from a random starting point and also solve DSA-style problems. I later had an HR conversation. The process seemed designed to pressure-test my understanding from what I had written through coding. By the on…

Mastercard Software Engineer interview: a bad technical round and a warm behavioral one

The technical interview was bad enough to overshadow the rest. The interviewer had not read my CV, gave little guidance, and either did not listen to my answers or could not understand them. It felt as though my responses were not landing. The behavioral interview was the opposite. At least one interviewer was friendly with the hiring manager, and that part had a good tone. I did not get an offer…

Microsoft Software Engineer interview: dynamic programming and scheduling algorithms

This was an on-campus process with two rounds on the same schedule. First I got a simple dynamic-programming question about counting ways to reach a target count. The second round shifted to scheduling algorithms: FCFS, SJF, and round-robin. They were not presented as trick questions. I felt reasonably comfortable with both the DP logic and the scheduler implementations. I did not get an offer. M…

Abnormal Security Software Engineer interview: AI-assisted work in a large codebase

After a recruiter call, I met the hiring manager. They explained the company and likely day-to-day work, then asked about my background, why I was changing roles, and how I used AI in everyday work. About a week later, I had an AI-assisted technical screen. I received a large codebase and a feature requirement, and was expected to understand the existing structure with AI help, implement the feat…

An applied AI Software Engineer interview: hostile and confusing interview conduct

The process began with an HR-style call and then technical and bar-raiser-style conversations, but it quickly felt hostile and disorganized. Interviewers would not turn on their cameras and resisted when I asked to see them. Two people in one meeting space had similar accents, which made it genuinely hard to tell who was speaking. In other rounds, people did not seem to listen closely and sometim…

Atlas Copco Group Software Engineer interview: aptitude, group discussion, and elimination

I began with a moderate online assessment full of aptitude puzzles and game-like questions. Time felt tighter than I expected, but I was selected to continue. The next day brought a group discussion and interview at a campus event. Moving directly from one to the other made it hard to settle in, and only a small number of people were advancing. I was rejected during that elimination-style sequenc…

Baker Hughes Software Engineer interview: managers, architecture, and team fit

I applied through the careers portal, then spoke with HR by phone about timing and my interest. From there I met senior managers and entered a final-offer path. One technical conversation covered requirements management, sign-off, and system-architecture development with a manager and a principal. Another used questions about the stack and how my current responsibilities matched the job. When I s…

Analog Devices Software Engineer interview: a rejection for interviews that never happened

I first spoke with a recruiter about a hardware-validation role. The call was friendly and clear. We covered my background, relocation and work authorization, and my interest in hardware validation, mixed-signal systems, and test development or automation. I was told to expect a hiring-manager interview and then a longer technical panel. Neither was scheduled. I later got a rejection email that n…

Alten Spain Software Engineer interview: document verification and a long wait

The process was straightforward: two technical rounds, then final document verification. Only at the end did we discuss salary and acceptance, with the offer letter arriving later. Although the steps were familiar and stayed in sequence, it took more than three weeks after acceptance to actually enter the organization. The length of that wait was what stood out, more than the interview content. L…

Alten Nederland Software Engineer interview: delayed onboarding after offer steps

My process had two technical rounds followed by final document verification, then a compensation discussion and an acceptance stage. I was told the offer letter would come after acceptance. Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: broad technical and reasoning questions

My interview lasted more than an hour. It covered DSA, system design, computer science concepts, communication, puzzles, and teaser-style questions. The puzzles surprised me because they were not limited to coding or design; they tested how I thought with ambiguity. The conversation reached into math-leaning prompts, conceptual reasoning, and how clearly I could explain myself while solving. It f…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: a three-hour competitive-programming OA

The online assessment had four CP and DSA coding questions and took around three hours. It felt medium to hard, mainly because I had to stay consistent through a full block of problems. The questions were still tough, and they seemed to expect comfort with competitive-style problem solving, not only textbook DSA. The proces…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: college-lab coding and technical depth

Both rounds happened back to back, around an hour each. The first was an online coding session in a college-lab setting with medium-to-hard DSA questions. The interviewer examined my resume and projects closely, including AI-related areas a…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: load testing and monitoring

I had two rounds that were mainly technical but included behavioral questions. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
