ServiceTitan Account Executive interview with mismatched role-play expectations

The process started well. The recruiter was polite and interested, and I felt there was a genuine handoff to the next round. The sales-manager stage then took a sharp turn. The managers didn't seem prepared, and the expectations didn't match what I had been told beforehand. The material said the mock exercise would involve simple objection handling and wouldn't require deep product knowledge. During the call, the scenarios were complex enough that I felt I had to respond with niche, detailed product knowledge.

The tone also became uncomfortable. One sales manager kept pushing the conversation toward my motivations in a way that felt condescending and overly personal. It started to feel more like a judgment session than a discussion about fit. I felt the expectations had been handled poorly, and there didn't seem to be much accountability when the call differed so much from what had been advertised.

The final stage added to the sense that time was being wasted. It involved multiple interviews again, followed by a role-play with no real script or study material beyond what was on the website. I didn't receive constructive feedback. By the end, I felt the process was more about testing than evaluating and that the approach was disrespectful. I left believing they weren't running a fair process, even though the recruiter portion had initially felt solid.

Location: Charlotte, NC. Overall feedback: Positive. Offer status: Got offer.
