ServiceTitan Software Engineer interview: difficult technical loops and inattentive evaluation

The process began with recruiter coordination and became a set of deep technical conversations that I found genuinely hard. One version included several coding interviews and a system design discussion. The people were pleasant and my impression of the culture was positive, but I was at the end of a hiring cycle, and that affected the result. In a different technical loop, the difficulty was not…

ServiceTitan Account Executive interview: repeated communication failures

The first recruiter screen went smoothly. The recruiter seemed engaged and said next steps with the hiring manager would be scheduled. Then I heard nothing for about two weeks. I emailed twice, and only after I included the hiring manager did I receive a rejection. It was especially frustrating because this was not my first experience with the company, and I felt my time was not being respected.…

ServiceTitan Customer Success Engineer interview: recruiter silence

After I applied, I had an initial recruiter screen and the process seemed to be moving. Then I received an automated rejection. Later, the recruiter contacted me personally and asked for a call about an update. I replied promptly and followed up again that day, but heard nothing. Days later I tried again and still received no response. The silence was especially disappointing because the recruite…

Software Engineer interview at ServiceTitan: slow coding sequence

After a recruiter call, I went through several straightforward coding rounds. They focused on medium LeetCode-style data structures and algorithms. The interviewers were calm and practical, asked clarifying questions, and stayed interested in how I was thinking. I cleared multiple rounds that kept testing much the same skill set, but the whole process took about a month. Several-day pauses appear…

ServiceTitan Account Executive, cold outreach role-play

My interview process started with a recruiter conversation, followed by a second round that focused on how I handled the sales discussion and the details behind it. After that round, I heard nothing. I followed up with the recruiter and still got no response, so it felt like I was ghosted after investing time in the process. The role-play case study focused heavily on outbound behavior, even thou…

ServiceTitan Customer Success Engineer interview with recruiter, manager, and panel

My process felt refreshingly straightforward and well organized. It started with a recruiter screen, followed quickly by a conversation with the hiring manager. The recruiter was warm, and the scheduling and handoff felt seamless, which set a good tone from the beginning. The hiring manager round was thorough and engaged. The interviewer seemed prepared, and the conversation moved naturally. I di…

ServiceTitan Customer Success Engineer: recruiter screen ended after twenty minutes

My recruiter screen started badly and never recovered. The questions were fairly basic for customer success, including how many accounts I’d managed and a scenario involving an escalation and churn risk I’d handled. The recruiter spoke extremely fast and seemed focused on specific keywords instead of trying to understand me. I had little room to ask questions, and the call ended early, after abou…

ServiceTitan Account Executive interview with mismatched role-play expectations

The process started well. The recruiter was polite and interested, and I felt there was a genuine handoff to the next round. The sales-manager stage then took a sharp turn. The managers didn't seem prepared, and the expectations didn't match what I had been told beforehand. The material said the mock exercise would involve simple objection handling and wouldn't require deep product knowledge. Dur…

ServiceTitan Software Engineer interview with async/await and system design

My process started with a recruiter screen and then moved into three technical rounds. In the first two, I spent long sessions pair programming. I implemented a custom data structure from an interface, then worked on parallel processing with async/await. The difficulty felt medium or easier, and the interviewers were fair and clear, so I could collaborate and ask questions as I went. The third ro…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
