Northrop Grumman Software Engineer, panel with C++ and fundamentals questions

After the initial steps, I had a panel-style technical conversation with several senior engineers. It covered behavioral questions and technical fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms and databases. There was also a clear C++ focus. We discussed my past experience in the context of how I approach problem-solving, then moved into C++ fundamentals and basic scenario-based questions.…

ASML Software Engineer interview: automated and face-to-face rounds with candid expectations

I went through several rounds, with some parts automated and others happening face to face. The process moved at a deliberate pace, as if they were taking time to assess whether I matched the company and the role. What stood out was how openly they described their expectations. The conversations addressed what the position would require and how their view of fit compared with mine. I didn't menti…

Clipboard Health Product Manager interview: written case study followed by quantitative follow-ups

Right after applying, I received a lengthy case study and had to submit my reasoning in writing. It wasn't a short prompt. I spent real time analyzing it and preparing a document that explained my approach and the steps I took. After submitting the write-up, I was invited to interview. During the live conversation, the interviewer pressed me with follow-up questions that weren't fully covered in…

Software Engineer at Boeing: DBMS, coding, and work-life balance

I had a face-to-face interview that focused directly on technical topics. We talked about DBMS concepts and basic coding, and the interviewer was chill and friendly throughout. We also discussed work-life balance at the company, which made the setting feel more human than purely evaluative. Because the technical topics were clear and not overly mysterious, I felt more at ease than I expected in a…

Experian Full Stack Engineer interview with front-end and back-end live coding

My process was short and tightly structured. I had two interviews: one with the team manager and another technical conversation with team members. Both the technical and managerial portions centered on live coding. The technical round was split into two parts, with one focused on the front end and the other on the back end. It felt like they were testing how I think across the entire stack rather…

Clipboard Health Product Manager interview with a ride-sharing pricing case study

After I applied, I received a case study in which I acted as a product manager at another ride-sharing company. The focus was finding an optimal pricing strategy. I had to submit the work before moving to the next step. After I turned it in, I had an interview that went deeply into what I’d written, especially the reasoning behind my decisions. The interviewer seemed interested in stress-testing…

Experian Software Engineer interview with an assessment center and one-way interview

My early rounds felt more like an organized ladder than a long gauntlet. I started with a short screen-style interaction covering general skills and behavioral questions. The process had a structured feel, with time limits throughout. There were also assessment-style elements that tested how I think under constraints, including sequencing problems and scenarios framed as work-style questions. Whe…

Canonical Software Engineer interview: written and psychometric testing

I interviewed for the Software Engineer role through a straightforward screening process. First, I completed a written test by listing my achievements, then completed a psychometric assessment. If I had been shortlisted, I would have moved on to a one-on-one interview. I didn’t move forward. My takeaway was that the process depended heavily on scoring well in the written and psychometric tests. L…

Twitch Software Engineer interview: OOP assessment and no offer

I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Twitch. The process felt fairly standard: a recruiter screen followed by an assessment focused on object-oriented programming. The recruiter screen covered my resume and previous work. The technical assessment involved an OOP coding question. I wasn't offered the role. My main takeaway was to be ready to code directly around object-oriented fundamenta…

Trexquant Investment Data Scientist interview with ML, DSA, and onsite superday

My interview process started when HR reached out. I then completed an online assessment covering ML and DSA style material, followed by a technical question round with one or two LeetCode problems in the medium to hard range. I expected more direct data science or machine learning questions, but those topics didn't really come up beyond the assessment. The next stage was an onsite superday. It we…

Duolingo Product Manager: take-home feature design task and delayed rejection

I went through an internship-style process where the first real step was a take-home design task focused on a Duolingo feature. It took a significant amount of time. It felt like something they expected me to work on from start to finish and turn into a polished presentation. After I finished, the follow-up dragged on. The process went silent for a while, and I didn't receive a rejection until mo…

Smartsheet Software Engineer: 15-minute HR screen on high-traffic systems

My first step was a short HR screening that lasted about 15 minutes. It came through a referral, and the conversation stayed focused on my background rather than puzzles. I talked about what I was doing on my current project, the technology stack I'd used, and how I handled scale and high-traffic situations. The questions were straightforward: what I was responsible for day to day, which tools an…

HubSpot Software Engineer interview with a panel-style mock scenario

My process started with a recruiter screen about motivation and fit. I then had a hiring manager round focused more on competencies, including how I'd handled different situations and explained my thinking, than on technical trivia. The next step was a panel-style mock scenario. The pattern stayed consistent: recruiter first, then deeper competency questions, followed by a panel scenario. It wasn…

Account Executive interview at Docusign: Post-interview feedback

I had a short, professional interview experience for an Account Executive-related role. It felt easy and respectful, with clear communication and feedback after the interview. Stubhub Software Engineer interview with a shortened project deep dive

I started with a recruiter screen that already felt off. There was a missed call, and after I reached back out, I waited about two weeks just to hear about moving to the next round. Docusign Software Engineer interview: hour-long whole-team coding rounds

I had a team-manager kickoff and then moved into a whole-team round with several people interviewing me back-to-back. My process started with mostly behavioral conversation, and it felt a little unstructured. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
