Salesforce Account Executive interview: demoralizing recruiter process

The recruiters made me feel as though my time was something I should be grateful to spend, and I did not feel heard. They seemed to move through checklists and pass me to other recruiters to see which openings existed. The process dragged with gaps in communication. I was asked whether I would take a lower role to get in, with the implication that others step back to join Salesforce. By the hirin…

Rippling Software Engineer interview: referral and familiar questions

I came through a referral, and the initial call felt conversational rather than gatekeeping. Within about two and a half weeks, I had a technical coding interview and a behavioral interview. The coding questions asked for the first non-repeating character in a string and validation of parentheses. I had practiced something similar on PracHub just beforehand, so the patterns felt familiar and help…

Hewlett Packard Enterprise | HPE Software Engineer interview: live coding and design

Most of my evaluation involved live problem solving. After recruiter contact and scheduling, I coded in the first round while explaining my thinking. I needed to give an answer, justify the approach and show how I'd improve it. The system-design round caught me a little off guard. The hiring manager wanted specific details, including a cloud-oriented design question, even though the role descript…

DXC Technology Software Engineer interview: operations-focused discussion

I first spoke with HR about my background, skills, and reasons for considering a change. Then I met the team lead for a technical conversation on building software and operational concerns, including application and infrastructure monitoring and incident management. We discussed the technologies I had used and how my prior work translated to their delivery needs. I returned to HR to cover organiz…

Capgemini Software Engineer interview: policy-based rejection

My process included technical interviews, document verification, background verification, and a final HR discussion. Those verification steps made the journey longer and more formal than ordinary interview back-and-forth. After clearing each stage, I expected a positive decision, but my candidature was rejected under hiring-policy criteria. I felt I had cleared the work in front of me, while the…

Autodesk Software Engineer interview: assessment and silent follow-up

I started with an online test scored out of 600. After clearing it, I had two technical interviews covering programming and SQL, which felt aimed at practical breadth rather than theory. After the second technical round, my college placement channel gave no clear update. I had also seen another process path with a resume-screening call, an OA, and onsite interviews that was described as average d…

Nokia Software Engineer interview: paper technical questions

I began with an HR screen about availability and simple personal questions, then moved into several technical rounds with written, paper-based prompts. The first technical interview had five straightforward paper questions. Two later interviews involved different groups of engineers, a couple of people per session, and more paper questions. In a separate technical path, I met a manager and team m…

Google Product Manager interview: practical-depth bar

The process felt long and hard from the outset. After the initial stages, the technical questions required real hands-on product experience. I could not have relied on generic product language to answer them confidently or accurately. The challenge was also organizing my thinking under pressure while remaining precise. Follow-up questions kept probing until I connected my reasoning to real-world…

Microsoft Data Scientist interview: modeling and experiment design

The loop was intense and technically demanding, with work that felt closer to real modeling than trivia. After a recruiter-style step, I discussed an ML project and the trade-offs in evaluating it. We focused on classification with asymmetric costs, and I explained SHAP in the context of what I'd built. I was surprised to get a precision-and-recall question very close to one I'd practiced. Later…

A healthcare technology Business Analyst interview: absent interviewers

I passed an online technical test and expected the live interview to proceed normally. Instead, when I joined the scheduled online meeting, no interviewer appeared. I waited about half an hour before the system automatically moved me to the next day. The same thing happened the next day: I logged in and again there was no interviewer. It was unsettling because I could not tell what they were look…

A healthcare data Software Engineer interview: graduate assessment logistics

I attended a graduate assessment center, but the logistics felt poorly handled from the beginning. I was told to arrive early for a late start, and when I arrived no one was at the front desk, so I waited without guidance. At the introduction, I learned it was supposed to start later than I had been told and was meant to include a peer session. The people who appeared for that session were mostly…

Bank of America Financial Analyst interview: five-person phone panel

The process moved quickly, which still surprised me. I had a five-person panel interview with only a few questions, and I was given time to ask questions too. Because it was at the tail end of COVID, the interview happened by phone instead of in person or by video. It was simple and not very technical. I felt they were mainly checking fit and whether I could stay calm in the format. I received an…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview: DSA and work style

The on-campus process had two standardized rounds, each with a live DSA coding problem and Amazon work-style questions. The coding was assessed for correctness and for how I reasoned about time and space complexity. The behavioral part used Leadership Principles such as Ownership, Bias for Action, and Customer Obsession. Those prompts followed a 'tell me about a time' format, so I answered with S…

Avanade Software Engineer interview: brief HR and technical steps

After a recruiter chat, I had a technical conversation about a week later with the hiring manager’s area leader. It was mostly technical and lasted about half an hour. I also had a brief HR conversation, around fifteen minutes, about me, my career context, and general personal background. That part was relaxed. The process was calm and easy to follow, with the main shift being from personal HR qu…

Analog Devices Software Engineer interview: circuit-focused pressure

This interview was almost entirely about circuit-level thinking. I met a director of test engineering early, and the technical conversation centered on circuits rather than behavioral topics. The expectation seemed to be quick, precise solutions, and I felt a mistake could end my chances. Another circuit-focused discussion covered how to test whether a circuit works, then components such as capac…

LTM Software Engineer interview: logistics overshadowed evaluation

The process began with group discussion and aptitude, then moved into technical and HR stages. The early portions were fine, but the technical and HR handling turned sour. One interviewer was especially rude, and the timing was badly managed. I waited in line for a long time without proper coordination for entry. By the time I tried to participate, I was frustrated and could not settle into a smo…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer interview: waitlisted after DSA

After being shortlisted, I took an online assessment with coding and behavioral-style questions. The coding portion covered data structures and algorithms, including an explanation of brute force versus optimal approaches and time and space complexity. I then had a coding-heavy online DSA round with two questions. I felt reasonably confident in my approach, but it moved quickly and did not turn i…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer interview: coding and design loop

I had a 30-minute recruiter phone screen about my background and resume, then a technical video interview with a senior engineer. After coding, I answered questions on system-design basics and how my projects related to their work. Later, the loop also included a syste…

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Software Engineer interview: embedded depth

The questions were described as easy, but the interview was not superficial. It required low-level embedded-system design and programming knowledge, and I felt the details could catch someone who skimmed. I had a good conversation with the panel and felt they were exploring whether I understood the material deeply. Even answers I thought were correct led to follow-ups on important details, which…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
