Autodesk Software Engineer interview: longest-substring DSA screen

After a recruiter call, I entered a structured sequence. I started with a short introduction about a university or personal project, then had a technical screen with one medium-level DSA problem: finding the longest substring without repeating characters. The interviewer followed up on complexity, edge cases, and possible optimizations. Later, I went through a deeper track with senior and princip…

Apple Software Engineer interview: onsite assignment and presentation

Recruiter outreach moved quickly into a multi-step process that felt smooth even though it was complex. I went through several rounds with different interviewers, each focused on how I would operate in the role rather than on curveballs. The HR touchpoints clearly explained what each stage would test. I had an onsite-style experience with an assignment and a presentation at the end, which made th…

Google Software Engineer interview: unclear live DSA communication

This interview was hard in a particular way. It was not only the complexity of the DSA questions, but also the interaction with the interviewer. I got directional array questions involving dynamic programming, though I could not clearly recall the full second part of the problem afterward. The interviewer did not speak clearly enough for me to ask clarifying questions effectively. I spent extra m…

Google Software Engineer interview: compact developer algorithm loop

I went through a full-loop format with an online assessment and a recruiter call before the technical rounds. Once I reached the developer loop, I had to solve medium-to-hard LeetCode-style problems, and it felt designed to test real problem solving from start to finish. The structure became intense and compact after the earlier screening steps. The interview was essentially developers only, with…

Microsoft Software Engineer interview: nerves on an easy opening question

My experience began with an initial screening round that felt generally easy. I got nervous early and bottled up on the first easy question, which caught me off guard because the overall vibe did not match how tense I felt inside. The process stayed consistent with that: the first stage was meant to be approachable and did not seem designed to trick me. Still, I learned that an easy question can…

Yardi Systems Engineering Manager interview: six-week behavioral process

After the initial phone-interview outreach, I moved through a compact sequence over about six weeks: a recruiter phone call and two follow-up interviews with different team leads. Right after the first call, I received an online assessment on critical thinking and basic arithmetic, separate from the conversations. The questions were mostly behavioral. The first call focused on why Yardi and a wal…

Arrive Logistics Account Executive interview: onsite rep shadowing

Recruiting contact moved quickly into a small sequence of interviews, and I never felt like I was walking in blind. Early conversations with the recruiter covered my background, why I was interested in sales, and a deeper walkthrough of the role and company. I had a clear contact person and fast communication about scheduling and next steps. Onsite, I toured the facility and shadowed an experienc…

Aristocrat Software Engineer interview: testing, SQL, and Linux basics

After recruiter outreach, I had a focused technical conversation. It combined situational scenarios with testing knowledge, SQL query fundamentals, Linux commands, and different types of testing. A recurring question was how I would contribute to the company, framed through basic testing practices. The difficulty felt average, and the process matched the work the role appeared to involve. I felt…

An applied AI Software Engineer interview: TCP, TLS, and system design

I started with a deep technical round that gradually broadened into leadership-oriented conversations. The first round covered middleware and networking fundamentals, including TCP, TLS, certificates, and how an F5 Big-IP device is upgraded and configured. It was detailed enough that I needed to be precise, but I could answer most questions and keep the discussion moving. The next stage was a tec…

ALTEN México Software Engineer interview: profile-fit conversation

I started with a recruiter call about my background, then had an online interview with the business manager. We discussed my experience and skills, how I wanted to learn and grow, and the company itself. I had about ten minutes to introduce myself before the questions began. The difficulty felt medium, but I did not feel under pressure. The pace was mainly conversational and focused on whether my…

ALTEN Belgium Software Engineer interview: ten-minute introduction

After an initial recruiter call, I had an online meeting with a business manager. We discussed my experience and skills, as well as how I would learn and fit with the company. The tone was direct and practical. I began with about ten minutes to talk about myself, then the conversation moved into follow-up questions. It was not a deep technical dive. It was a structured way to understand my backgr…

Alten Delivery Centre Spain Software Engineer interview: client-mission fit

I first spoke with a recruiter about my background, then we discussed how my profile fit the work they were seeking. Even though it was an initial conversation, they followed up on what I had said with more detailed questions. I then spoke with the relevant business manager and, finally, had a technical interview with the client. The discussion centered on how I related to the planned work and th…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer interview: project-focused managerial round

I went through a straightforward set of rounds that felt organized and tied to how I would approach real work. There was a virtual round, then an offline managerial round at an Infosys office, followed by an HR interaction. The managerial conversation stayed focused on my project and the technologies I had actually used. I was asked scenario questions about how I would handle different situations…

Intel Software Engineer interview: metrology technical final round

My process had three rounds, with the last one explicitly technical. That discussion focused on metrology and current industry practices. It did not feel overwhelmingly difficult as long as I had done some research beforehand. The first two rounds were more like screening and behavioral check-ins. I was asked about prior work and how I handled situations, and each interviewer kept the conversatio…

Dell Tech Laboratories Software Engineer interview: broad CS fundamentals

For the Software Engineering Student role, my process had three main stages and ended on July 27, 2026. Symbotic Robotics Engineer interview: positive signals and vague closure

My process started normally with an HR phone screen that went well, followed by a video call with the hiring manager. That conversation felt dry rather than warm, and it did not seem to build toward a decision. Super Micro Computer Software Engineer interview: distracted interviewer

The conversation itself felt straightforward, but the tone made it awkward. The interviewer seemed distracted, almost as if they were reading from a prepared list. The focus was on my experience, projects, and technical work, with questions that probed more refined knowledge. There was not much improvised back-and-forth in how the questions were delivered. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
