Ernst & Young Consultant interview: assessment delays and silence

After the initial recruiter step, I was asked early questions and told I would receive an evaluation afterward. Once I completed it, the process stalled for a long time. I reached out for an update and got silence back, which made the whole journey feel inefficient. Separately, I went through a longer, multi-stage path with video and a psychometric-style component. It never seemed to move much be…

Ernst & Young Consultant interview: delayed evaluation response

My first step was a short recruiter phone call. It felt as though the questions were being read from a checklist, and I got very little context about the role or the rest of the process. I had to try to get clarity from the conversation itself. I completed an evaluation they sent afterward, then waited for months with no update. When a response finally came, it was a generic rejection. The long s…

Prime Video Software Engineer interview: LRU cache and eviction

My first real screen ran longer than expected and went deep into implementation. I was asked to design an LRU cache using a hashmap and doubly linked list while keeping eviction correct. The interviewer was direct and kept probing my approach, especially the eviction behavior and the reasoning behind it. The rest of the process added more technical depth along with behavioral interviews connected…

Powerschool Account Executive interview: five interviews and delayed follow-up

For an entry-level sales role, the process involved many steps, although communication was transparent while it was happening. After a recruiter call, I went through five interviews: an HR interview, a conversation with my direct boss, and three separate interviews with team members. The questions were typical for the role. They covered my background and how I would approach client, sales, and ro…

Orange Software Engineer interview: long coding and salary discussions

The process made me feel that time and professionalism were not handled well. One interview was extremely long, combining live coding with a prolonged discussion afterward and running late into the evening, while people were still working around me. I passed the technical parts, but the overall atmosphere never became comfortable. At another time, the process felt equally shaky because I was prom…

Spacex Software Engineer interview: one-hour onsite presentation

The process moved through several technical touchpoints quickly. I had three phone interviews with different people, then reached an onsite stage that became the center of the evaluation. There, I gave a one-hour presentation on my greatest achievement. It felt fast-moving and evaluative rather than conversational. After the presentation, I was sent home right away, so I never reached the longer…

Silicon Labs Software Engineer interview: three online technical rounds

My biggest frustration was the way HR handled scheduling and communication. The follow-up felt ego-driven, and they kept pushing me to drop my application instead of giving a clear, consistent process. I learned that the second interview would take a long continuous block, around three hours with multiple hiring managers. The plan kept changing, and I was only called for the interview after a mon…

Syneos Health/ Inventiv Health Commercial Account Executive interview: quick manager and HR decision

After a quick recruiter outreach, I moved straight to a discussion with the hiring manager and HR. The process was fast and light on formal structure. The interviewers spent a lot of time explaining the company and role, and there were not many deep prompts. I still got the usual "tell me about yourself" focus and questions about my recent work. STAR-style prompts came up, but the tone was not es…

Supermicro Software Engineer interview: brain-teaser screening

The process began with online assessments that did not feel related to the role. The recruitment quizzes leaned on strange puzzle-like brain teasers, and I felt they wasted my time because I was not being hired to solve riddles. After the assessment, the follow-through varied. In one thread, I had a couple of interviews: one structured round and one more conversational interview with normal quest…

Supermicro Software Engineer interview: LRU cache and eviction

A recruiter reached out and scheduled an onsite loop after an initial step. What surprised me was the length of the phone screen. It went deeply into implementation instead of staying at a broad fit level. I was pressed on an LRU cache, including a hashmap with a doubly linked list and a clear explanation of eviction behavior. Because I had practiced system-design-style examples, I felt more comf…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: three virtual and office rounds

My journey included three interviews, with a format change near the office stage. The first two were virtual, and the third took place in an Accenture office after scheduling adjustments. Before the technical conversations, I had a recruiter screen that lasted about 30 to 45 minutes. Then I spoke with someone from a developer background for another 30 to 45 minutes. The final step was behavioral…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: JavaScript, React, and architecture

I started with a recruiter screen covering my experience, skills, current role, notice period, salary expectations, the position, and the project it would support. Then came two technical conversations. The first focused on JavaScript and React fundamentals, problem solving, scenario questions, and the projects I had worked on. The second went deeper into architecture and design: scalability, per…

Amazon Software Engineer interview: brain teasers and OA rejection

The process began with online recruitment quizzes or an OA, and those early steps set the tone. One path was packed with brain-teaser-style questions that did not match the job I was applying for. It made the process feel disrespectful of my time. In another attempt at the same general funnel stage, I submitted OA solutions and received a rejection a few days later. That assessment was more typic…

Guidewire Software Software Engineer interview experience

The process started with an initial online-assessment screening and had four rounds in total. After the screening, the remaining interviews were face to face and felt like a sequence rather than unrelated one-offs. In the middle technical rounds, they wanted clear thinking and trade-off explanations, not just working code. I had a system-design-style discussion where I reacted to a scenario and i…

Cisco Software Engineer interview experience

The technical questions leaned toward systems thinking and networking fundamentals. I was asked about stack and heap basics, what causes segmentation faults, and how I would approach debugging a stack overflow. I took a LeetCode-style test with three problems, then went through three interviews with different managers. The stages were fairly clear, but waiting between them felt heavy. I started with a recruiter call, then had an HR conversation about motivation, followed by an onsite interview. Amazon Development Center U.S. Software Engineer interview experience

Recruiter outreach turned into a marathon. After the initial steps, I was scheduled for an onsite-style block of back-to-back interviews. I started with an online assessment, then had a technical interview that covered coding, my projects, and core subjects. What made the process feel different was the balance. It did not feel like a purely technical elimination round. It felt…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
