NatWest Software Engineer interview: coding test, video interview and VAC timeline

I took a coding test and then moved to a video interview, which felt like the most important part of the process. The coding portion was described as fairly simple. By the time I recorded and answered the video interview, I felt better prepared because I could practice first. VAC was also mentioned and seemed straightforward if I had prepared. I did not hear much right after the test. About 1.5 m…

Plangrid Software Engineer interview: 600-point assessment and two technical rounds

I began with an online assessment scored out of 600. It worked as a straightforward filter, and after I cleared it I had two technical rounds. Those interviews focused on programming and SQL-style questions, with DSA, basic system design, and role context also coming up. After the second technical round, I expected a final wrap-up through the college-placement track. Instead, I did not get a clea…

Oscar Health Business Analyst interview: quick recruiter response while the process continued

After I applied, the recruiter responded quickly, which gave the process a positive start. The culture seemed to match what I was hoping for, and communication felt efficient compared with other processes I had experienced. When I wrote about it, I was still in the middle of the process and had not received an offer. I was waiting for the next steps and hoping to hear back soon because I had like…

Okta Software Engineer interview: smooth recruiter screen and abrupt rejection

The recruiter screening felt as though it was going fairly well, but I received an automated rejection shortly afterward with almost no detail. The questions I remember were basic: tell me about yourself, why I wanted to work there, and why I was considering other roles. The process ended so quickly that I did not feel there had been much evaluation beyond that first conversation. Since the scree…

Ntt Data Europe & Latam Software Engineer interview: confusing graduate assessment-centre timing

I attended a graduate assessment centre arranged as a group interview, and the logistics overshadowed everything else. I was told to be there at 8:45 for a 9:00 start, but no one was at the front desk for a while. Around 9:10, I was still waiting with no clear guidance. At the introduction, I learned that the assessment was actually scheduled for 9:30, so I had effectively been asked to arrive 45…

NTT DATA Software Engineer interview: graduate assessment-centre logistics

The interview itself was not technically difficult, but the logistics threw me off immediately. I attended a graduate assessment centre scheduled to begin at 9:00 and was told to arrive early. At about 9:10, I was still waiting at the front desk with no staff in sight. During the introduction, I learned that the session was actually supposed to start later, around 9:30, and that the expected arri…

Mufg - Mitsubishi Ufj Financial Group Financial Analyst interview: positive rounds and no closure

The process felt pleasant while it was happening, but the ending left a bad taste. After applying online, I went through in-person or online conversations with several senior interviewers. The onsite experience in particular felt warm, with friendly people focused more on fit than hard technical questioning. I discussed my background and how I matched the role. Even across VP or MD-level conversa…

MUFG Financial Analyst interview: welcoming rounds followed by no response

I applied online and moved into interviews fairly quickly, but the process ended with a lot of silence. The later conversations were welcoming and centered on fit and behavioral questions. At one point I met several senior interviewers together, and it felt more like checking whether my background matched the role than an interrogation. The difficult part was the follow-through. After the rounds,…

Sopra Steria Consultant interview: follow-up silence and a revoked offer

At first, the process seemed quick and responsive. After the first stage, though, I ran into complete silence. I followed up and still received no feedback, which made me feel that I had been interviewed simply for the sake of interviewing. I also experienced another version of the same poor follow-through. It dragged on for around two months, and I was ghosted after the interviews despite my rem…

Smartsheet Software Engineer interview: two live coding sessions and an engineer loop

Recruiter outreach led to a drawn-out process with three interviews over about a month and a half. The overall mood stayed relaxed, which helped because the process still involved several stages. I first had an HR-related screening call, then two live coding sessions. Those coding sessions were the main technical hurdle before I could move forward. After I cleared them, I was invited to a loop in…

Scientific Research Research Scientist interview: prolonged silence after onsite

The process took much longer than I thought it should. After an initial phone screen and an interview with the hiring manager, I eventually had an onsite stage, but the timeline extended beyond three months. While I waited, both the manager and recruiter were essentially unreachable, and it felt as if the process had paused. The interviews themselves were not my main concern. Once I was left in l…

Revolut Account Executive interview: pitch preparation and a disengaged manager

The interview was quick and easy to follow. I started with a pleasant, engaged recruiter conversation and then spoke with a sales manager. It was a practical, concise sequence rather than a long process. For the sales-manager discussion, I prepared a pitch in advance, delivered it, and had time to ask questions. We covered my background and how I approached the role. Although the interview was no…

Slalom Software Engineer interview: senior role, design and in-person behavioral round

I started with a 30-minute Microsoft Teams recruiter call about my background and fit for a Senior Software Engineer role. It was straightforward and warm. The technical interview then covered my experience, projects, and technical decisions. The next stage was system design, where I designed a solution, did hands-on coding and modeling, and discussed trade-offs. The final stage was an in-person…

RTX Software Engineer interview: projects, circuits and technical depth

I expected a mostly behavioral interview, but it became more technical. I discussed my projects and problem-solving approach, then answered questions about diodes and impedance and calculated current in a simple resistor circuit. Even in the casual format, the interviewer seemed to be looking for understanding rather than buzzwords. I was also able to choose technical topics from my background. I…

RTX Software Engineer interview: short hiring-event fundamentals check

I attended an RTX hiring event with interviews compressed into 30-minute slots. The process felt low-pressure and straightforward, and most of the discussion was behavioral. There were still a couple of technical questions to check programming proficiency, including how to find the least child in a binary tree. Because the time was short, the discussion stayed on basics and clear answers rather t…

RTX Software Engineer interview: manager conversation and fast offer

I had an hour-long Zoom meeting with a manager for a new-grad role. I expected it to be more intimidating, but it was smoother than I expected. TikTok Shop Software Engineer interview: KPI, SQL and incident scenarios

The interviewer first asked whether I had questions, then I gave a brief introduction. TikTok Shop Software Engineer interview: scheduling issues and timed OA

Super Micro Computer Software Engineer interview: DSA and leadership principles

My path started with an online assessment that paired a live DSA problem with Amazon work-style questions tied to leadership principles. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
