Lovisa Account Executive Interview Experience: a group format without enough substance

The interview was designed to be social, but I left feeling unable to show what I could do. The group format began with an icebreaker and quick introductions to the interviewers. By the time it was my turn, my background had been reduced to a couple of lines. I worried that the hiring managers did not have enough detail to understand my strengths for an account executive type role. The larger set…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: about three months from assessment to decision

My path began with an online assessment, followed by a recruiter call that set up an onsite loop. The onsite had three consecutive stages: a bar raiser loop, a DSA focused loop, and an LLD focused loop. The full timeline, from the assessment to the final decision, was about three months, far longer than I expected. The interviews felt as though they covered the usual breadth: leadership judgment…

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Software Engineer Interview Experience: a structured three stage loop

My interviews had three stages: an initial HR screen, a technical interview on Microsoft Teams, and an on site day. The HR conversation covered my background, experience, and interest in the role. The Teams interview focused on programming knowledge and problem solving, and I connected my answers to relevant projects. The on site went deeper into engineering conversations with the team. We discus…

ADCI - Karnataka Network Engineer Interview Experience: online tasks and video prompts

This did not feel like a normal series of recruiter calls and technical interviews. I applied online, and the later steps were mainly online tasks: watching videos, answering questions, and completing work prompts rather than participating in live interviews. I was surprised by how little in person style interviewing there was. After I finished the tasks, I received an email a few days later sayi…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: DSA, design, and bar raiser

The loop began with demanding technical rounds. I had to work through two LeetCode DSA problems, one medium and one hard. Getting the solution to work was only part of it: I had to explain my thinking, analyze time and space complexity, cover edge cases and optimizations, and discuss alternative approaches and trade offs. Next came system design for a scalable, distributed Amazon style service. W…

General Mills Software Engineer Interview Experience: intrusive recruiter questions

My first contact was a recruiter call that shifted in an unexpected direction. The recruiter asked intrusive personal questions, including what my spouse and parents do and how many children I have. The conversation then moved to my salary history. What felt especially off was that it became an argument about that history without clear information about the engineering role or the salary range th…

Deutsche Bank Financial Analyst Interview Experience: defending valuation assumptions

After an opening conversation where I introduced myself, the interviews moved quickly into technical territory. I was asked direct questions about valuation and how to justify assumptions: EBITDA multiples, DCF setup and its assumptions, plus multi step accounting work. The difficulty came from going beyond memorized answers; I felt they wanted to see that I understood the concepts. The second st…

Deliveroo Account Executive Interview Experience: discouraging communication

I expected a fairly normal process, but it felt discouraging almost immediately. During the recruiter call, there was a long monologue and very little meaningful interaction. When it ended, I felt the decision had already been made. I was doing account work in my current role, so being told I was not "pure" enough for the job landed badly, especially when there was no room for questions. The lack…

Amazon Software Engineer interview experience: maximal square and good nodes

I interviewed for an SDE1 role at Amazon. The early process centered on DSA and, after applying, I went through two technical rounds with different coding challenges. The first included maximal square and merge intervals, which called for DP or matrix reasoning and careful interval manipulation. In the second, the questions shifted to something like counting good nodes in a binary tree, so I was…

Rippling Software Engineer interview experience: coding, system design, and AI use

My loop followed the familiar structure of several coding rounds followed by broader rounds. I completed three coding rounds, then a high-level system design round, and finished with a hiring-manager round. AI was allowed in the process, which made it feel different from stricter interview settings. The work meant solving coding problems in sequence, switching to system design, then meeting the h…

FIRSTNET GLOBAL Account Executive interview experience: sell-a-simple-item prompt

The interview was direct, and I appreciated that. They asked about my best and worst scenarios at work: how I got into each situation, what I did to handle the challenge, and what I did next once things improved. They also asked me to show sales skill in a practical way. I was put on the spot and asked to sell a simple item. They wanted specifics about the pitch and how I would talk through it as…

Finacle Software Engineer interview experience: microphone failure before assessment

This attempt was brief because I was rejected at a pre-assessment stage. Before the second rejection appeared, a technical problem disrupted the first interview attempt: my microphone did not work, and that seemed to derail the process immediately. I later received follow-up communication with a survey/interview step, but I could not move forward. It felt as if the outcome was decided early by th…

Maybank Singapore Software Engineer interview experience: restructuring delay

The process began with a lack of clarity that never got resolved. I never received a proper job description. Although I was scheduled for a senior software engineer track, the interviews felt pitched more at a lead level. I completed two technical rounds, and an HR round was confirmed. Then the process was abruptly put on hold because of internal management restructuring. Long gaps stretched to a…

Medtronic Software Engineer interview experience: project architecture and DSA

The process began with an online assessment, then a technical round that covered systems thinking and data structures. I was asked to describe the architecture diagram for one of my projects, so it felt less like pure coding and more like explaining how the parts worked together. The technical questions then shifted to DSA. The interviewers cared a lot about how I reasoned through problems and wh…

Manpower Belgium Frontend Engineer interview experience: technical and IQ assessments

My process was fast and smooth. It started with an HR interview that included a few technical questions. After that I completed two online assessments, one technical and one IQ-focused. Then I had a technical interview followed by a manager interview. I passed the earlier steps, and the manager round was the final stage. There was no offer at the end, but the process was organized and easy to fol…

Jane Street Quantitative Analyst interview experience: probability progression

I went through math-focused interviews that started with easier questions and became harder. The rounds centered on probability. Early questions established the fundamentals, then the difficulty increased. Each round also began with a behavioral check-in, which set expectations before the technical work. In a similar run, I had three phone interviews along the same probability track. The first co…

Intuit Management Consultancy Frontend Engineer interview experience: AI workflow and take-home review

After I applied, the Uptime Crew process felt structured. It began with a proctored online assessment with three parts: a LeetCode-style DSA problem, SQL, and Bash. The Bash section was harder than I expected, and the DSA question was around the difficult end of medium to hard. I had a limited window to start, somewhere around a week/90-minute timing, and the proctoring made it feel high stakes.…

Red Hat Software Engineer interview: system design, coding, and projects

My Red Hat loop followed the usual order: a screening round, a conversation with the hiring manager, and technical rounds. I reached a later technical stage but was not moved forward after it. The technical discussions covered system design and coding concepts. I also talked through my current projects and the design decisions behind them, which kept the interviews tied to how I actually work. Th…

Providence India Software Engineer interview: three rounds and delayed rejection

The process felt a little unstructured from the start. I completed three rounds: two virtual interviews on Teams, then an in-person interview at the office. I got feedback fairly quickly after the first two rounds, so while things were moving I had some sense of where I stood. After the third, in-person interview, communication went quiet. I waited a long time without updates and eventually recei…

Prime Video Software Engineer interview: DSA screening and technical loop

The Prime Video process opened with a conversation about my resume and experience, then moved immediately into technical work. The first serious step covered mid-to-hard DSA: dynamic programming, matrix-related problems, and graph questions. They wanted to hear the approach I planned to take before I started. The screening and loop followed what felt like a standard order. The phone interview was…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
