Amazon Business Analyst interview experience: expected SQL that never came

The process initially sounded as if it would cover SQL and behavioral topics. Once the interview started, however, it stayed entirely behavioral and scenario based. I expected a live SQL assessment, but it never materialized. Communication afterward was poor. The recruiter did not reply to my follow-up emails, and an automated rejection notice arrived a couple of days later. The interview itself…

Amazon Account Executive interview experience: unannounced Excel task

A recruiter contacted me about a different account-management role. The email said the interview would be competency based and focused on Amazon Leadership Principles. There was not supposed to be an HR prescreen, and the confirmation did not suggest a complicated set of materials. On the day, the format changed in a frustrating way. I was suddenly given an Excel-sheet task without advance notice…

JFrog Customer Success Engineer interview experience: Docker and Linux background discussion

After a recruiter conversation of about 30 minutes, I met with a hiring manager for roughly 40 minutes. We talked through company policy and what the day-to-day job would involve, including shifts and the kinds of work that came up regularly. It was structured, and I left with a clearer sense of the expectations. The first technical round was a detailed conversation about my background and projec…

AkunaCapital Quantitative Analyst interview experience: probability screen after timed assessments

My process had several online stages before I spoke with anyone live. The assessment setup combined coding with a video interview, where I worked through math and probability questions while explaining my reasoning. The timing was tight enough that I had to be deliberate, though it felt relevant to the work expected of a quantitative researcher. After those assessments, I had a technical screen c…

Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Business Analyst interview experience: aptitude before HR

I began with an aptitude test, which felt somewhat harder than I had expected. After I cleared it, I moved to an HR interview. That conversation was easier to get through. The sequence was simple: aptitude first and HR second. I attended at the Chennai Sholinganallur office. Leaving the HR stage, I felt relieved because its questions were less intense than the aptitude screen. The conversation ha…

Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Consultant interview experience: quick project start

The recruitment process felt smooth and transparent to me. I could follow each step in the TCS Ibegin portal, and HR and the team walked me through the background-verification work. What stood out was that I was never left on the bench for even a day. Everything seemed to keep moving. Project work and code generation started around the day after the project assignment. I found the overall process…

xAI Software Engineer Interview Experience: a rushed rocket simulation

After the recruiter step, I had a technical interview that felt medium to hard. The main task was a simulation that involved moving a rocket in a game like setting. I understood the idea and made progress, but the time box was brutal for implementing it cleanly. I ran out of time before I could make the solution fully correct and complete. It felt as though the target was polished execution, not…

Stripe Software Engineer Interview Experience: practical coding, design, and project discussion

After a recruiter introduction, I had two long assessment interviews that blended coding and system design. One focused on practical implementation rather than LeetCode, while the other covered system design. The questions felt intended to resemble real engineering work instead of trick puzzles. After I passed that stage, the process became a longer loop. In an integration coding session, I worke…

General Dynamics Information Technology Software Engineer Interview Experience: a 30 minute panel

The process was unusually streamlined. I had a single 30 minute virtual panel with a program manager, a senior architect, and a VP. It was a quick, focused discussion with decision makers rather than a long run of screens. I did not have to wait through multiple rounds. I received an offer shortly after the call, which made the process feel efficient and low drama. It felt as if the team had a cl…

Datadog Software Engineer Interview Experience: manager roleplay after recruiter screen

I applied through the job portal and a recruiter contacted me for a brief video call about my background, salary expectations, and basic fit. The next stage was more detailed: I met with two managers who dug into my experience. Near the end of that discussion, they switched to a practical roleplay scenario to test my hands on skills. It was direct and focused on what I could do rather than only w…

Artefact Consultant Interview Experience: group cases under time pressure

The process was in depth and moved quickly once it started. There were about five rounds, and the people involved were responsive and easy to reach. They wanted me to begin right away, and the structure matched that pace. There were a few cases. At the more interactive stage, I presented a case and also completed a group case assignment that we had to present. That round was crowded. I was invite…

NVIDIA QA Engineer Interview Experience: Python, systems, and VP troubleshooting

The process started with an HR interview, then moved into a technical conversation on Python, Linux, networking, QA methodology, and systems knowledge. It felt like they were assessing how my experience would translate to QA work on a real platform, rather than whether I knew the right buzzwords. The last stage was a more demanding VP interview. We discussed previous projects, troubleshooting sce…

Microsoft Software Engineer Interview Experience: LRU cache and C++ vector implementation

My take home coding work and later interviews were more system oriented than quick algorithm exercises. I worked on two DSA problems: an LRU cache with a higher level design angle, and a vector related implementation using arrays, pointer arithmetic, and heap allocation in C++. The interviewers were friendly and fun to talk with, which made it easier to think out loud during implementation. The s…

Accenture España Consultant Interview Experience: assessment, group case, and final interview

The selection process had several distinct stages: an individual assessment, a group discussion, a first round case interview, and a final interview. During that session, a staff member introduced a consulting case study and I worked through it in the group conversation. Later I had to present th…

Hexaware Software Engineer Interview Experience: an uncomfortable virtual interview

My first impression of the Hexaware virtual interview was not good at all. I joined the online interview with my screen shared, and I was thrown off when the interviewer did not turn on their own camera. That small thing quickly set the tone for the rest of the session. Axon Software Engineer Interview Experience: a take home system design presentation

The process began with a recruiter conversation about logistics and my background. Amazon Kuiper Commercial Services Software Engineer Interview Experience: DSA, OOP, and DBMS

I started with an online assessment and then moved into a short, dense interview sequence. There was no HR phone screen for me. Amazon Kuiper Commercial Services Software Engineer Interview Experience: a one day loop

After an online assessment, I entered a full loop packed into one intense day. It had the kind of Amazon structure I expected: multiple coding rounds, design, and a deep behavioral bar raiser. This Amazon process felt like a full technical deep dive rather than a quick screen. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
