Notion Labs Software Engineer Interview Experience: fast updates and a thoughtful close

A recruiter reached out, and the process moved quickly after that. I received email updates soon after each stage, and every interviewer I met was friendly and easy to work with. The whole experience gave me the sense that candidate experience mattered to them. The recruiter call focused on logistics, but its warm and understanding tone put me at ease before the technical work. Nothing in the res…

Safran Full Stack Engineer Interview Experience: a month-long structured process

I applied early in the month and first heard back about two weeks later for an HR interview. About two weeks after that, I had an in-person conversation, then waited another week for the decision. The whole process took about a month, which made the scheduling feel fairly smooth. The process itself felt structured. It began with a phone conversation about my academic and professional background,…

Revolut Operations Manager Interview Experience: a structured process with late red flags

My process was long and structured: a recruiter screen, a cognitive-style test, a home task, a case interview, a bar raiser, and a team-fit stage. The recruiter did a fair amount of preparation between rounds and kept things moving, although there were hiccups. Interviews could start more than 10 minutes late without much notice. The bar raiser was much shorter than I expected. Parts of the proce…

Siemens Digital Industries Software Software Engineer Interview Experience: C++ and teamwork discussion

After the recruiter call, I had a smooth, organized interview that stayed professional throughout. I started by introducing my background, the projects I had worked on, and the technical experience I could bring to the role. The questions then moved into programming basics, especially C++ fundamentals and object-oriented concepts. They also wanted to hear how I approach problem-solving and teamwo…

United Technologies & Information Services Software Engineer Interview Experience: two quick offer paths

I applied online, then a recruiter contacted me by email and scheduling moved quickly. I spoke with two people on Microsoft Teams. It was a straightforward conversation, and they finished by saying they would send a write-up to the hiring manager. Later that same day, I heard they wanted to send an offer letter. I also had a similar experience in a separate run. That time, there was just one 30-m…

Tower Research Capital Quantitative Analyst interview experience: five rounds across systems and probability

I went through a high-friction process with five rounds that tested breadth as well as depth. The subjects ranged across probability, puzzle-style questions, computer architecture, networks, and operating systems. Most prompts were open ended, with more emphasis on how I reasoned than on one correct answer. The lack of a clear right path was mentally exhausting at times. I had to keep my logic or…

The American Mathematical Society Research Scientist interview experience: PI alignment and lab presentation

After an initial recruiter-style step, I had an online conversation with the PI about where my work could fit and what the existing project was doing. We discussed research areas we could realistically pursue together. It felt like an alignment conversation rather than a checklist interview. That was followed by a presentation to the lab. I explained my previous and current experience so they cou…

Super Micro Computer Software Engineer interview experience: full DSA and design loop

The interview felt like a full Amazon-style loop, with several layers of depth in each technical conversation. I began with LeetCode-style coding: two DSA problems, one medium and one hard. For both, I needed an optimal solution, an explanation of my reasoning, time and space complexity analysis, and edge-case handling. The interviewer kept asking about alternative approaches and trade-offs. Then…

TikTok Data Scientist interview experience: medium SQL and background follow-ups

After a smooth recruiter interaction, I went directly to a virtual one-on-one technical interview with someone from the hiring team. It was focused: a medium SQL question tested whether I could read and reason through the query, along with general data-science and machine-learning questions. The SQL was not intended as a trick question, but they wanted to see whether I understood what the code wa…

The Lasalle Network Financial Analyst interview experience: fast in-person manager meeting

After I applied through the company portal, I was shortlisted and HR contacted me for an in-person interview. The timing was quick: HR emailed only a day before the face-to-face meeting, so I had to tighten up my story quickly. I started with an HR screening and then had a one-on-one conversation with the manager. The interview ran for about an hour. It was not presented as a deeply technical eva…

Teradyne Software Engineer interview experience: project discussions with engineering manager

The process had several structured rounds that kept returning to my background and projects. It began with an HR call and then moved to conversations about my work experience. In those technical-adjacent discussions, they referred back to my slides, pulled out particular projects, and asked me to explain what I had done and how it related to the role. Meeting the engineering manager was a major p…

Sysco Account Executive interview experience: recorded screen and no follow-up

I started with a short recorded phone interview. About a day later, I moved into the longer main interview. The first call was quick, around fifteen minutes, while the next stage was more involved. The virtual round had two interviewers speaking with me at the same time. Their questions were solid and required real thought, but the conversation flowed well enough that I left feeling I had done a…

Synopsys Software Engineer interview experience: technical expectations changed abruptly

I began with an HR and manager conversation that made me think technical questions might not be part of the process. I went into it more relaxed than I should have. The second round changed tone quickly. They started asking many technical questions, and the depth rose almost immediately. I had not prepared for the particular technical work they expected, and I could not recover as well as I wante…

Supermicro Software Engineer interview experience: coding, design, and bar-raiser loop

My path followed a formal Amazon-style interview loop after I applied, rather than a quick conversation. It was intense because it combined deep coding, several system-design discussions, object-oriented design, and a bar-raiser focus on leadership principles. The coding questions ranged from medium to hard. I was expected to find an optimal solution, explain my reasoning, cover time and space co…

Supermicro Network Engineer interview experience: opaque asynchronous tasks

My application process was unusual. After I applied, I did online tasks that involved watching videos and answering questions instead of going through a normal back-and-forth interview. A few days after I finished, I received an email saying I had been successful, but it did not explain much about what had happened behind the scen…

Supermicro Software Engineer interview experience: Amazon-style loop and leadership prompts

After applying, I completed an online assessment and then entered an Amazon-style loop. The day felt like a marathon, with multiple back-to-back rounds and different interviewers. Total Wine & More Frontend Engineer interview experience: store tour followed by silence

I first interviewed with the store manager, and it went very well. A couple of weeks later I met with the district manager, and that conversation also felt positive. Afterward, the district manager had an assistant manager show me around the store. I could see how the work ran day to day, ask questions, and shadow him as he went through his routine. I was there for almost two hours in total. Ever…

AKUNA CAPITAL Quantitative Analyst interview experience: math video and coding screen

My run began with an online assessment and video interview, then moved into a more interactive technical round. ADP Account Executive interview experience: VP conversation and field shadowing

A recruiter contacted me first by phone, and the process then moved to a Zoom conversation led by a VP. After that, I went in person for a ride-along or field-style segment intended to show what the job was like outside an office. I was left waiting for a while before the in-person part got started, which disrupted the momentum. The field reality was central to the process. They made it clear tha…

Amazon Software Engineer interview experience: LRU cache implementation details

After I cleared the initial steps, I had a phone-screen-style discussion that ran longer than expected and went deeply into implementation. The interviewer pressed me on an LRU cache: how I would combine a hashmap and doubly linked list, and how eviction would work. System-design examples on eviction policies had helped me prepare, so I could explain the reasoning instead of reciting a solution.…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
