Amazon Advertising Software Engineer Interview Experience: two DSA problems with live complexity explanation

After a recruiter touchpoint, I had a virtual one-on-one technical interview with an engineer. It opened with a quick introduction and then became pure problem solving. I solved two separate DSA problems on a shared coding platform. As I worked, I had to keep talking and explain time and space complexity. That made the session about showing my reasoning in real time, not simply writing code. The…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer Interview Experience: Director, product, and bar raiser sequence

The process was structured and tightly scheduled, with several human checkpoints. It began with a pre-interview screening with a hiring manager, followed by a recruiter screening call. Then I had an engineering-director discussion, a senior-product-owner conversation, and a senior-software-engineer round. After those came two bar-raiser style interviews and a final hiring-manager interview. By th…

Bain & Business Analyst Interview Experience: partner-led case studies

The first round mixed a market-sizing case with behavioral questions. The process itself was straightforward in structure and pacing, with multiple interviews in each round and interviewers who kept things moving. In the second round, I completed two more case studies with partner-level interviewers. The partner interviews were much more interviewer-led in a different way. They gave me less struc…

Attentive Software Engineer Interview Experience: dismissive managerial conversation

After a recruiter screening, I had a managerial round. I received the job description, but the details about the structure and expectations turned out to be wrong. Before the questions even began, the interaction felt uncomfortable because the tone did not feel respectful. The conversation came across as skeptical and dismissive. My answers were treated as though they had been discounted from the…

Asana Spa Software Engineer Interview Experience: Chasing a delayed rejection

The first stage seemed promising, but the process dragged on longer than it needed to. After the interview, I realized I had effectively fallen through the cracks in their system and had to chase for a status update. There was no clear communication cadence. I had been told I would hear back within a certain timeframe, but the delay continued. When a response finally arrived, it was essentially t…

Anduril Industries Software Engineer Interview Experience: automated recruiter messages and three essays

A recruiter contacted me unexpectedly with a message that felt AI-generated, and the exchange felt automated from the start. I tried several times to speak directly and move away from that phrasing, but it kept returning. She eventually sent a specific role tied to my resume that also read as though a bot had generated it, including a supposed office location in my city. After a few more chats, s…

Anduril Software Engineer Interview Experience: automated recruiter messages and essays

A recruiter contacted me with a message that looked AI-generated. I asked to speak with a real person, but each reply returned to the same automated tone. She eventually gave me a "role" that also felt automated, apparently tailored from my resume and describing a city office I knew Anduril did not have. After more back-and-forth, she said she would put my resume in the system only if I wrote thr…

Analog Devices Software Engineer Interview Experience: Supportive panel discussion

The interview flow was friendly and low-friction. The conversations felt welcoming from the start, without any sense that people were trying to catch me off guard. I spoke with a small panel, and the questions focused more on my background than on deep technical material. After a quick first step with a manager, I had a longer technical interview with multiple people from the group. The pace was…

AMD Construction Group Software Engineer Interview Experience: Linux, embedded work, and networking

After a recruiter call, I entered a structured technical loop that lasted a few weeks. The recruiter covered my background and the rough process, and about a week later I was in the first technical screen. The later conversations with engineers and the hiring manager focused mostly on my past projects, especially Linux systems and embedded-style software work. I also completed a coding session on…

Amazon Services Software Engineer Interview Experience: Leadership Principles and tradeoffs under uncertainty

After a recruiter conversation, I moved into the main loop with several interviewers. The behavioral portion was closely tied to Amazon's Leadership Principles, and each interviewer focused on a different part of my background. Technical discussions mixed LeetCode-style coding with open-ended questions about how I made decisions when requirements or information were incomplete. The loop included…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: Respectful, well-paced discussion

The interview was professional and relatively pleasant. After the earlier stages, I had a moderately difficult round that stayed respectful and well paced. Both HR and the interviewer were calm, and the conversation focused heavily on my background. I talked about my resume and the role. It was interactive rather than a simple question-and-answer exchange. By the end, I was waiting for the next s…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: microservice integration in two rounds

The process had two rounds. The technical interview lasted about 30 minutes, followed by a managerial round of around 45 minutes. The technical questions were practical and architecture-focused despite being presented as simple problems. I was asked how to connect two databases in a single microservice and how different microservices communicate. The manager conversation was longer and focused mo…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: structured DSA follow-ups

I went through a difficult technical interview that ended positively, with an offer. The interviewer was calm and clear, and the questions came with follow-ups instead of being one question after another. The DSA portion was the hardest part for me. It was difficult, but the interviewer was not rushed and followed a structured line of questioning. I left feeling that I had given it everything. Th…

L3Harris Software Engineer Interview Experience: Take-home after three rounds

I went through three rounds, starting with a hiring-manager conversation and then another engineer. The last stage was a team interview where I was grilled for about an hour. I also had a take-home assignment, which was the hardest part of the process. The difficulty rose as I progressed. By the team round, it felt more intense and less like a conversation. I thought I did reasonably well in the…

Aurecon Software Engineer Interview Experience: one-way video answers with re-recording

After I applied, I received a one-way video interview prompt. I had to record answers to several questions and submit them quickly, with responses capped at about a minute. At first it felt like a single pass, but I learned that some questions allowed re-recording, so I could review an answer and do it again. Before the video portion, there was an online step with a few yes-or-no questions. The H…

Accenture in India Software Engineer Interview Experience: Shortlisted but prolonged process

The technical content was not the main issue. Even after I was shortlisted, the process had many steps and long waits between updates. I did not receive meaningful signals at a pace that matched what the proces…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
