TSMC Software Engineer interview: projects, research, and practical challenges

On Microsoft Teams, the interview began with a short self-introduction and then turned to my projects and research. The interviewers asked for details, the specific problems I had encountered, and how I solved them. They were nice and respectful, and the process felt smooth. The conversation was friendly but still required enough clarity about my work to show how I approached challenges. The diff…

TransPerfect Account Executive interview: assessment, negative-behavior questions, and no follow-up

The experience began smoothly with an introductory call about the role. I received an email link for assessment questions and heard quickly about what came next. When more rounds were mentioned, I expected a normal progression into deeper interviews. Instead, I was filtered out around the middle. After a screen, I completed a Criteria cognitive and personal-style test, then communication stopped.…

TSMC Customer Success Engineer interview: behavioral, teamwork, and leadership discussion

I spoke with team members in an interview that leaned on behavior and my resume rather than deep technical knowledge. They asked about my background, why I wanted TSMC and this role, teamwork and leadership, disagreement, and solving problems under pressure. A lot depended on explaining my past clearly, especially how I communicated and stayed effective when things were not smooth. The difficulty…

Altec Industries Software Engineer interview: plant tour and cross-department conversations

After applying, I received a call scheduling an onsite a few weeks later. The day began with a plant tour, followed by short meetings with managers from different engineering areas, each taking about half an hour. The conversations covered fit, daily work, and behavioral examples about challenges, teamwork, stress, and my work history. The process gave me a view of the whole operation. I met peop…

Bain Capability Network Consultant interview: quant assessment and chart-heavy cases

Before live interviews, I completed online assessments in quant and general problem solving. They were medium in difficulty and covered critical thinking, numerical reasoning, and data work. Each quiz had a set time limit, so I could not rush it. Once interviews began, the process was straightforward but demanded preparation. Case work required clean execution, and math could slow me down if I wa…

Dayforce Software Engineer interview: SQL, JavaScript, and behavioral manager round

After recruiter outreach, I had a structured set of interviews. The first technical step used screen sharing: I discussed my background and answered questions about SQL and JavaScript. Soon afterward, I had a longer technical interview lasting about two hours in total, including a separate manager-focused section. I explained my experience concretely, while the manager asked behavioral questions…

DTCC Business Analyst interview: hiring-manager conversation followed by silence

After a recruiter call, I interviewed with the hiring manager. The conversation was straightforward, but I never really heard back after it. More than a month passed, and the recruiter stopped responding to update requests. The prolonged silence made what should have been a final stage feel flat and unprofessional. I received no clear next step or even a simple status message, only a waiting game…

Stripe Backend Engineer interview: HackerRank parsing and data-processing assessment

I encountered Stripe through an online assessment that was not the usual LeetCode format. It had multiple parts on HackerRank and concentrated on parsing and data processing rather than graph problems or dynamic-programming patterns. I could not quantify the difficulty precisely, but it seemed to care more about how I handled text and data transformations than fast algorithm tricks. The assessmen…

Facebook Software Engineer interview: BFS matrix task and unfinished technical loop

After the recruiter step, I had a coding-centered technical round with two questions in about 45 minutes. One required a normal solution followed by an optimization follow-up, which made the round more demanding than I expected. In the next video-conference interview, the interviewer was very communicative and answered questions as they came up. The coding challenge used BFS: I was given a matrix…

Facebook Software Engineer interview: coding loop, system design, and offer

A recruiter phone screen led into a classic technical sequence. After the call, I did two back-to-back LeetCode medium coding interviews with engineers. The tone was collaborative and friendly, with emphasis on explaining my thinking, writing good code, and improving my solution in follow-ups rather than being caught out. Later, the onsite had a full-loop structure: two coding sessions with two L…

First Trust Capital Management Financial Analyst interview: practical finance and behavioral fit

The process was smooth and low-stress, and the panel made a point of keeping it comfortable. It started with a recruiter screen, then team interviews. I discussed prior experience and roles, along with behavioral questions about strengths and weaknesses, time management, and working under tighter schedules. The technical discussion was practical rather than theoretical. I covered core finance and…

McKinsey & Consultant interview: case rounds, fit, and respectful offer process

I had a very good process, beginning with friendly and professional interviewers. It started with a phone screen, then two case-interview rounds with a partner and a senior associate. Near the end, there was a final round covering fit and problem-solving skills. It was a direct way to understand how I thought, how I explained my reasoning, and how my experience related to day-to-day challenges. I…

Juspay Software Engineer interview: uneven interviewer engagement and server-optimization design

The experience changed dramatically depending on the interviewer. One round felt barely engaged: there were only a few puzzles and questions, and the tone felt less like a serious evaluation than a confrontational attempt to provoke. Another round was much better. The interviewer was genuinely good, the session ran about forty-five minutes, and it combined DSA with a basic system-design problem a…

Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn Bhd Software Engineer interview: projects, troubleshooting, and shift expectations

The process was organized and centered on my resume and how I worked. I began with a recruiter screen, then met engineering interviewers and later the hiring manager. I also had a hands-on onsite discussion lasting from half an hour to about an hour. The atmosphere was fairly casual, and the interviewer explained what the job would actually involve before asking about past projects and problem so…

Manpower Belgium Consultant interview: guided start and disturbing director interview

The process began in a structured, guided way. HR clearly explained what each step was meant to assess. I had an on-site HR conversation, a team-setting evaluation, and a cybersecurity test. Having one consistent HR contact helped reduce uncertainty about expectations. The tone changed sharply in a follow-up interview with a team director. He raised his voice, behaved in a visibly outburst-like w…

Manpower Belgium Consultant interview: rescheduled manager round and three-month wait

My interviews were spread across several rounds, but the waiting became the difficult part. I completed the first two rounds in the same week, and a third round with the hiring manager was set for a few days later. I went through a straightforward process at ITC Infotech in 2022. It started with a telephonic round and then an HR round, and the early stages moved smoothly. Ipsos Research Analyst interview: fresher-friendly HR and research-fit discussions

The early rounds felt friendly and low-drama. I had an initial recruiter or HR screen about my experience and why I was applying, and the interviewer also explained what the company did. MITRE Software Engineer interview: recruiter alignment, presentation, and panel questions

I started with a short recruiter screen that confirmed my resume matched what I said I had done. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
