TikTok Software Engineer C++ performance interview experience

The recruiter screen focused on my background, C++, and performance optimization. A technical coding interview followed on an online platform. I solved algorithmic problems in C++ and explained my approach and complexity analysis. The same session also covered modern C++ and engineering fundamentals, including memory management, multithreading, STL, and performance optimization techniques. The in…

The Reynolds And Reynolds Account Executive ghosting experience

The process took longer than I expected, and the lack of momentum was the hardest part. Early conversations were about background and fit, but some interviews felt scripted, as if the interviewer was tracking their own responses more than engaging with mine. I still answered fully and tried to make my story coherent. After recruiter and later rounds, there was a lot of silence. Emails requested d…

ADP Software Engineer SQL and project interview experience

My process followed an online assessment, two technical rounds, and HR. The assessment filtered for coding and basic problem-solving. The interviews then focused more on concepts I would use day to day. SQL was a major part of the first technical round, including joins and outer joins. I also discussed OOP topics such as method overriding and overloading. The interviewer asked about a problem fro…

Amazon Software Engineer virtual onsite interview experience

My process began with a recruiter screen, then moved quickly through an online coding assessment and a technical phone interview. The questions were practical but time-constrained, which made it harder to slow down and check every edge case. The final stage was a virtual onsite loop with multiple interviews. I had data-structures-heavy questions, system design, and a debugging-focused segment. Am…

ABC Software Engineer aptitude, sorting, and HR interview experience

The process had three levels: an aptitude and coding test, a technical interview, and an HR interview. The aptitude and coding test was very easy to clear. The technical round had simple data-structures and algorithms questions, especially sorting, plus database basics. HR was about fit rather than deep technical work. Overall, it felt manageable and landed on the easier side of the spectrum. Loc…

HCL Tech Software Engineer programming and HR interview experience

The experience felt tense and confusing. I was asked to write a program, and my code was correct, but I still did not move forward. Later, I felt the HR questions were off-target or silly. Even when I answered those questions correctly, I was rejected. The outcome did not match my technical result. By the end, it felt less like an assessment of my programming and more like an internal decision I…

EPAM India Software Engineer conflicting-rounds interview experience

The process felt drawn out and wasteful. I had cleared two technical rounds, and HR scheduled a project interview. After that, HR told me I had cleared it and only needed a final managerial round. The managerial round felt disorganized. The manager did not seem to understand the project I was being considered for and asked questions that did not fit what I expected from the earlier stage. HR late…

PayPay India Backend Engineer Japanese-language assessment experience

After applying, I took an online coding assessment and then reached a first-round interview. The assessment had four algorithm problems. One was a simulation task that required careful edge-case handling rather than only straightforward logic. I passed the assessment and had a technical interview, but did not move past the next step. The emails and interview communication were all in Japanese, so…

Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Software Engineer office interview experience

After clearing the TCS NQT exam, I was shortlisted for interviews at a TCS office. Early questions covered core Java, SQL, and DSA. The route from the exam through shortlisting into technical and HR-style evaluation was clear. The in-person rounds combined technical work and fit. I introduced myself and connected answers to my resume. They asked why TCS, why they should hire me, my expected packa…

Arista Networks Software Engineer linked-list and tree interview experience

After recruiter outreach, I had a DSA-heavy technical interview about linked lists and trees. The interview focused on how I reasoned about memory and pointers, not only whether I reached the final code. It lasted about an hour, and the interviewer was chill. I had to explain storage and memory use while building or tracing a solution, then answer follow-ups on traversal and pointer behavior. In…

Microsoft Software Engineer long interview timeline experience

The most surprising part of my Microsoft process was its length. It took at least two months from beginning to end: about one month of interviews, then another month waiting for the decision. There were multiple rounds assessing different skills. Interviewers gave hints, and I had to keep track of them and adjust my approach while time was running. I did not receive an offer. The month of uncerta…

ABC Family Software Engineer fundamentals interview experience

My process had three stages: an aptitude and coding test, a technical interview, and an HR interview. The first test felt easy to clear, and moving into the technical round was not overwhelming. Technical questions leaned on data structures and algorithms, especially sorting, with some database concepts. I did not feel they were trying to trick me. The process had three levels: an aptitude and coding test, a technical interview, and an HR interview. I found the aptitude and coding test easy to clear. The HR discussion was more about fit than difficulty. The overall atmosphere was relaxed a…

ALTEN Belgium Software Engineer early HR process experience

I only reached an early, administrative part of the process. The first HR phone call was meant to make contact and begin the application. The early contact was straightforward, but the process never reached a deeper evaluation. It felt as though the application stopped…

Bae Systems Usa Software Engineer interview experience

I had an interview lasting about an hour and fifteen minutes. There were nine questions: six behavioral competency questions and three technical questions tied to the role and job description. The technical section was connected to what they were hiring for, not purely abstract. Near the end, I could ask my own questions, which made it feel like a two-way conversation instead of only an evaluatio…

Acturis Business Analyst online quiz and case interview experience

The process began with an online quiz and quickly moved to online interviews. I had two sessions on the same day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. After a recruiter step, I had a short set of interviews with several people. The conversations balanced technical and behavioral questions, and everyone stayed respectful and professional. I had two scheduled rounds for the Software Engineer role. The process was short, friendly, and straightforward. My interview began with a virtual screening call set up as a timed DSA round of about 30 minutes. Technical questions covered Java, Spring Boot, system design, and my AI experience. IBS Software Backend Engineer coding round experience

I entered a multi-round process with a coding round first. The problem asked me to find unique quadruplets in an array whose sum matched a target. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
