Revolut Software Engineer interview experience

I received what was described as a technical-screening invitation, but at the start I had to work out who I was speaking with and what they expected. The first technical prompts arrived in chat. Later questions switched to a verbal exchange without a clear explanation. That inconsistency made it hard to tell what the interview measured, and I spent attention decoding the process instead of the te…

Revolut Account Executive interview experience

The recruiter screen felt rigid and nearly scripted. It was not unfriendly, and I appreciated receiving guidance about the next steps, but it came across as robotic and straightforward. The hiring-manager stage was stressful because the format differed from what I had been told. In addition to the assessment I expected, I was given extra tasks connected to companies I had researched. That cut int…

Sage Software Engineer interview experience

After a recruiter call, I had a technical screen of about an hour and then an HR conversation of around 30 minutes. The atmosphere was calm and not overly intense. I never felt set up to fail. The technical discussion drew heavily on my background and resume projects, then covered OOP, web-development basics, some distributed-systems ideas, and a couple of AIML questions. The interviewers were kn…

State Farm Software Engineer interview experience

A few business days after applying, I received an interview invitation. The first step was asynchronous HireVue: I logged in, read each prompt, and recorded answers on camera. The behavioral questions were standard STAR-style questions, but near the end they added a coding task that had to be finished in the same recording window. The coding part was difficult largely because I could not ask clar…

Super Micro Computer Software Engineer interview experience

The process began with an online assessment that combined behavioral prompts tied to Amazon-style Leadership Principles with a separate coding section. After clearing it, I moved to the in-person stage. My first interview was with the hiring manager and was strongly behavioral. I discussed my background and projects and answered Leadership-Principle questions about specific situations. Near the e…

Visa Software Engineer interview experience

After finishing the OA, I was selected for the next step. The interview combined a resume walkthrough with coding and fundamentals. They focused on my projects and hackathons, then asked at least one DSA question. The coding question was cycle detection in a linked-list-like structure, requiring me to reason through how to identify a loop. We also discussed CS fundamentals, situational questions,…

U.S. Bank Financial Analyst interview experience

The HR conversation covered the role and compensation and felt structured from the beginning. Most questions were behavioral, and the interviewer kept coming back to clear STAR-style examples. I got the sense that connecting prior experience directly to day-to-day work mattered to them. After the recruiter stage, I spoke with people on the team. The rounds were friendly, conversational, and behav…

U.S. Bancorp Financial Analyst interview experience

I started with an HR conversation about the role and compensation. The recruiter emphasized behavioral questions, and I used a STAR structure because the answers clearly mattered. After the interview, communication fell off. The timeline felt rushed and disorganized, and despite feeling that the interview went well, I was left waiting for next steps rather than guided through the process. Locatio…

Uber Drivers Operations Manager interview experience

After the recruiter screen, I had a 1:1 with the hiring manager. I then gave a case-study presentation and went through three business interviews, explaining my thinking and answering questions as I went. Repeated waits for interviewer availability made the process drag, and its length was draining even though it was not unusually chaotic. People communicated consistently, expectations were clear…

Uber Operations Manager interview experience

After a recruiter screen, I had a one-on-one with the hiring manager and then three business-style interviews built around presenting a case study. The process was long and draining because every round expected real output rather than just discussion. Communication was clear throughout. I did not receive an offer, but the process remained organized and professional, which made it easier to stay e…

TikTok Software Engineer interview experience

HR reached out and the process began smoothly with the usual background conversation. Once I entered interviews, though, repeated rescheduling made the process drag. The delays and back-and-forth were more frustrating than the interview content itself. I eventually stopped waiting because I had received another offer and declined this process. The content was fairly straightforward, but the repea…

Target Account Executive interview experience

I had a short in-person interview about customers and availability. The questions focused on how I would handle common shopping situations and help customers, not technical material. I also received a quick explanation of the position. I later had a manager-led in-person interview with a manager and assistant manager. They asked about my availability and customer interactions. The follow-up was t…

Virtu Financial Quantitative Analyst interview experience

The process started with an online assessment that I was told only a small fraction of applicants passed. After I got through it, a recruiter call felt encouraging. The technical screen was unsettling. The interviewer introduced herself, asked me to introduce myself and explain why I wanted the firm, then moved to my research experience. She seemed repeatedly confused about its basis and kept ask…

Airbnb Software Engineer interview experience

I applied for a Staff Software Engineer role and then heard nothing for more than a month. When I finally got an email, it invited me to a CodeSignal technical interview. The interface looked polished and had practice exercises, but the editor felt limited compared with a VS Code-style workspace and lacked conveniences such as autocompletion. The HackerRank-style assessment allowed 90 minutes and…

AECOM Software Engineer interview: supportive conversations and decision timelines

The process was structured without being high stress. I started with a recruiter or HR touchpoint, then spoke with technical or hiring managers about what I had done and what they expected from someone joining the team. The rounds focused on experience rather than obscure problems. Some interviews felt especially supportive. In one, the engineers responded quickly and made it clear I could ask qu…

AECOM Software Engineer interview: cooling systems and confidential project boundaries

My three-round process began with a talent screening call and then a deeper technical conversation with technical hiring managers. That discussion covered complex hyperscaler facility design, including dual-path hydraulic loops, strict thermal-margin calculations when switching between air and liquid cooling in mixed-density data halls, and rapid economizer or free-cooling switchovers during extr…

Amazon Software Engineer interview: HackerRank, AI assistance and a next-day rejection

I first took a HackerRank take-home exam and did not solve everything perfectly, which worried me early. The next step involved AI assistance, but the tool felt almost intentionally unhelpful. It did not seem to move me toward the answer even though I was supposed to be able to use it. I still advanced to an interview with LeetCode-style questions and discussion of my experience. Amazon Software Engineer interview: Top-K variation and a restaurant-manager problem

After an online assessment, I went through back-to-back interviews covering DSA, low-level and higher-level design, Leadership Principles, and a final bar raiser. There were a few unusual details. One round asked an AI-usage-style question. Another began with a hiring-manager version of a Top-K problem without API help. A technical prompt used a restaurant manager handling arriving groups, so I h…

Wolverine Trading Software Engineer interview experience

After applying, I was sent to an online OA on CoderByte. It involved object-oriented coding and trading-flavored logic, including registering and monitoring stock pairs and reporting when their price relationship moved beyond a tolerance. The specification was long, so careful reading mattered more than finding a trick algorithm. I spent most of my time translating requirements into code. The nex…

Walmart Global Tech Data Scientist interview experience

The process was smooth and professional from the beginning. After the recruiter conversation, the questions stayed focused on what they said they wanted, without drifting into unrelated areas. I appreciated how clear and intentional that made the conversation feel. I had a good back-and-forth and left the call feeling heard. Overall it was a pleasant experience rather than a stressful or chaotic…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
