ABC Software Engineer interview experience

The process was coding-heavy and structured from the start. After recruiter outreach, I completed an online assessment with coding questions and multiple-choice questions on OS, DBMS, OOP, SQL, and general aptitude. Later, the first technical interview went through my resume and projects, DSA, and core computer-science concepts. The next technical round was tougher, with a harder coding problem,…

ThoughtWorks Software Engineer interview experience

After a recruiter conversation, I went directly into a coding-focused process. There was a take-home code challenge on clean code, object-oriented thinking, and testing. When I finished, a pairing-style round asked me to show how the solution fit the current design and explain the full flow rather than simply hand over code. It was moderately difficult because working code was not enough. I also…

NatWest Group Software Engineer interview experience

A recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn and arranged a short technical discussion with two people. One interviewer gave a brief company introduction, then the conversation moved straight to technical questions with little discussion of my background. The other asked extensively about Java, thread safety, reactive paradigms, data structures, and cloud topics. The format threw me off. The interviewers…

Josh Technology Group Software Engineer interview experience

The experience was straightforward, and the people I met were polite. There was no fixed interview timing, so interviews could be attended at any time. I showed up when scheduled and worked through the rounds. The first round covered basic CS material such as input and output, tree concepts, and a small coding component. It also included OOPs and basic C. I was asked about infix and postfix, and…

GreyOrange Software Engineer interview experience

After the recruiter stage, I completed a take-home assessment that was the hardest part of the loop. It was not one problem. It covered five system-design scenarios, each aimed at a different principle, and I had to create the data models and workflows for them. This was more than drawing an architecture. I had to explain how the designs would scale and what would happen in failure cases, includi…

Salesforce Customer Success Engineer interview experience

After speaking with the recruiter, I had a technical round where I discussed my project experience and worked through a piece of provided code. I was asked to make the code more production-ready, and the coding-style questions connected back to OOP concepts. The later managerial round focused on customer work: how I would handle situations, manage relationships, and name a few Salesforce products…

Lockheed Martin Software Engineer interview experience

I expected my first interview to go into technical depth, but it was surprisingly light. It was short and straightforward, more like a quick check-in, with an easygoing tone and a strong emphasis on behavioral and fit questions. They asked basic questions rather than anything that felt like a difficult technical screen. I spent most of the time connecting my background to the role. One question w…

CIBC Software Engineer interview experience

I first spoke on Microsoft Teams with the recruiter and a senior manager. That conversation felt straightforward. I then had an in-person round in downtown Toronto, including whiteboard work where I used simple if statements to talk through the logic and how I would approach the problems. I was surprised that there was no live coding. The emphasis was on laying out my thinking clearly in front of…

CATERPILLAR Software Engineer interview: French STAR response

After a recruiter step, I had a panel interview with three developers. The atmosphere was friendly, and they were helpful when I got stuck. The format relied heavily on STAR-style behavioral questions, including one that I had to answer in French. There were also a couple of technical questions and questions about my resume and situations from past roles. The technical side was not extreme, but t…

Atos Software Engineer interview: recruiter silence after assessment

After an initial recruiter contact, the process stalled in a way that stayed with me. The recruiter asked me to complete a form on a messy website, then called without warning. The call itself felt uncomfortable because she repeatedly laughed about my Polish accent. She said she would forward my CV to the hiring manager and keep me updated. I heard nothing. I followed up about a week later and re…

Atos Consultant interview: three-stage stakeholder process

I began with a recruiter screening and then a three-stage process in which each conversation seemed to build on the last. The early conversation covered my experience, what I wanted to do next, and how I handled stakeholder management and delivery as a consultant. The recruiters and interviewers were friendly and professional, and the process was easy to follow. Next, I completed a technical chal…

Atlassian Software Engineer interview: AI-assisted password bug fix

After a recruiter screen, I had a hands-on technical interview built around AI-assisted coding. I was given a small backend-style website with a real bug and had to find and fix it while using an AI coding agent. In my case, the problem was in the password functionality, so I had to understand the existing logic, make the correct change, and stay consistent as I worked. What threw me off was the…

ASML Software Engineer interview: disengaged manager call

After waiting a while after applying, with the first interview in May and then a long silence, I eventually had another virtual interview with the hiring manager. It was scheduled for 45 minutes but did not feel balanced. The manager asked one question early, then spent most of the call talking about himself and the role. When I spoke, he appeared to be looking at another screen and typing. That…

NVIDIA QA Engineer interview: HackerRank and pending onsite

I applied for a QA Automation Student position and began with an online HackerRank assessment. It included Python programming and technical questions. After I completed the assessment, a recruiter contacted me and invited me to continue with an onsite technical interview. When I last checked, the process was still ongoing, so I did not have a final result. What stood out was how quickly the recru…

Capital One Data Analyst interview: SQL and final business case

After a recruiter screen, I took an online technical test and then went through rounds that felt much more business heavy than advertised. The test had one basic SQL question and a larger set of data-manipulation multiple-choice items. The first interview mixed business-case work with a very quick SQL component, and a later technical round had easy LeetCode-style questions. The mismatch showed up…

Capital One Product Manager interview: math and product decisions

After an initial one-on-one, I spent a full day in back-to-back meetings, each about an hour long. The split surprised me: two rounds were essentially math problems, while the others assessed how I made product decisions and thought about product work. One interviewer put it this way: if someone is so strong at math that becoming a developer or moving toward technical architecture makes more sens…

Apple Software Engineer interview: verification and timing closure

The process began with a short phone call where I was walked through the overall structure. Adyen Account Executive interview: missing customer context

Recruiting contacted me several times over about two months. Once I finally replied, the process followed a normal path: recruiter first, then a hiring-manager round that felt as though it went well. I could speak at length about my own customers and had strong stories, but…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
