Siemens Energy Software Engineer interview: Python, SQL, and async

A recruiter scheduled my interview, and I soon had a technical screen focused on software fundamentals rather than anything unusual. It lasted about half an hour and covered Python, SQL, and data structures. I was asked about asynchronous programming, what happens behind the scenes, how data-structure evolution affects performance, and why some approaches are considered deprecated. The tone was t…

Susquehanna International Group Software Engineer interview: CodeSignal DSA

The process was compact: a CodeSignal coding assessment, then recruiter and technical interviews. The main technical checkpoint was a DSA-focused CodeSignal set with multiple questions. It felt designed to see how I handled structured algorithm problems within the platform's constraints. After the assessment, I had an HR interview and a technical interview with deeper discussion and coding-style…

United Auto Credit Software Engineer interview: canceled London round

My second-round interview became one of the worst interview experiences I have had. I was asked to come to the London office and paid more than £100 for the train. Communication already felt broken: nobody in the office had my email, and the person responsible for updates went on holiday, so I could not reach anyone for about a week before the interview. They called about an hour before the sched…

The Blackstone Group Financial Analyst interview: short HireVue

After I applied, things moved quickly to a HireVue. The recordings were short, about 20 minutes, with only a few prompts. I finished early and wondered whether I had overprepared, because the questions felt like standard fit checks rather than intimidating ones. They asked why the firm, why I fit the program, and about my background and relevant experience. There was an earlier assessment compone…

TotalEnergies Software Engineer interview: four-step process

The hiring process felt organized from the beginning and had four steps. I started with an HR conversation about my background, motivation, and whether I matched what the company wanted. That was followed by two technical interviews intended to assess my skills in a more hands-on way. The final conversation was with a Product Manager. We moved to the functional side of the role: their expectation…

Amazon Software Engineer interview: four in-person behavioral and technical rounds

After finishing my online assessment, I heard back roughly a month later and moved into four in-person rounds. The process felt smooth, and everyone I met was professional and friendly. A lunch break in the middle helped me between interviews. One round was purely behavioral, while the others combined behavioral and technical components. The behavioral prompts were more situational than I expecte…

EPAM India QA Engineer interview: Python automation and practical coding

After the recruiter call, I had a technical screen focused heavily on Python and automation thinking. I discussed lists, decorators, generators, and the difference between iterators and generators in real code. They asked about PyTest fixtures, then moved into automation framework design and how I would structure it end to end, including CI/CD pipeline considerations. The coding portion was pract…

Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Software Engineer interview: fundamentals and manager round

My process was straightforward. It began with a basic technical screen and moved into a managerial discussion. The technical questions stayed grounded in software-development concepts, database principles, and standard CS knowledge, and they connected those subjects to my earlier project experience. The managerial discussion lasted about 20 to 30 minutes. It mixed technical checks with questions…

Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Software Engineer interview: HR and technical overlap

My screening-to-HR flow was unusual because the HR conversation did not feel purely HR related. I went through the usual MCQs and technical questions first, then an additional nontechnical HR round that still included technical questioning. The interviewer's style stood out too. When I answered, they seemed to have little patience. It felt more like a rapid test than a normal back-and-forth, and…

Chime Product Manager interview: intensive loop and missing recruiter follow-up

I started with a recruiter screen that felt fast and responsive. After meeting the hiring manager, the pace stayed high. I was moved into the next round on such a tight timeline that they wanted me to begin the technical interview before I had much chance to prepare. After that second round, the process went quiet. I followed up, got no reply from the recruiter, then received a standard rejection…

Bosch Software Engineer interview: technical, manager, and HR rounds in one week

My process moved surprisingly quickly. After a recruiter call, I had three interviews: a technical round, a manager round, and an HR round. The whole process took about a week, which was faster than I expected. The manager interview was entirely in English with a senior person from Europe. That made language and direct communication feel important. The interviews were reasonably paced and organiz…

Capital One Software Engineer interview: four one-hour interviews in one day

I interviewed in a standard four-interviews-in-one-day format. After earlier rounds, I had four one-hour sessions that were evaluated together: two technical interviews, one behavioral interview, and one case interview. The technical interviews used LeetCode-style problem solving. The behavioral session focused on my experience and how I described my work. The case interview was about walking thr…

Meta Data Scientist interview: timed SQL cases and A/B experiment design

After a recruiter and screening step, I faced a fast, high-pressure set of SQL and case tasks. The Python and SQL round covered SQL mechanics and quick reasoning, including common data structures, CASE statements, and window functions. The pace stood out because the window closed as soon as it was time for the case study, so accuracy and efficiency both mattered. The case work was more demanding…

A healthcare technology Software Engineer interview: screening, coding, and campus path

My process felt relatively easy and structured. It moved from an online screen to a communication round, then a coding round and final assessment, followed by a final interview. In at least one path, I also experienced an on-campus setup with an aptitude screen followed by a technical process that included SQL and coding questions. Across both paths, the difficulty stayed manageable, and the ques…

Apexon Software Engineer interview: Java questions and platform assessment

I went to Apexon for a Java-engineer-style interview and waited a long time before it began. When it finally started, it felt rushed and focused on Java fundamentals and fast coding. I solved a problem about printing pairs such as (x, 2x) from an array, then worked with Java Streams to filter and transform strings. I was also asked about daemon threads. The conversation ended abruptly, leaving li…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview: open-ended behavioral loop

My interview had two distinct parts. One leaned more behavioral than I expected, and another was a LeetCode-style technical question. The behavioral prompts were situational. Instead of asking for polished, closed-form answers, they asked me to explain how I would think through open-ended scenarios. Communication became central because it felt like they wanted my reasoning, not just a final concl…

I faced data structures and algorithms, plus system design or design discus…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
