Accenture Consultant interview: cases, routing, and SAP FICO

One path moved quickly through three interviews: two case-focused rounds and a less formal fit conversation with someone from a prospecting team. It was easy to follow and did not feel overly formal. In a different experience, I was told the first interviewer had not reviewed my CV and thought I might fit another team better. They still gave me a case, but the way my application was being routed…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: Java, web stack, and no follow-up

I began with an online coding assessment, then had a combined technical and HR interview. The technical discussion covered core Java, Spring Boot, SQL, JavaScript, React, Git, and SDLC. They also went deeply into the projects on my resume, with some HR and scenario questions along the way. The process felt smooth and moderately difficult. After the interview, though, I received no updates or feed…

Accenture Consultant interview: compensation stop and SAP scenarios

An initial recruiter call ended as soon as I shared my salary expectations. It felt like the technical fit stopped mattering once that number did not match another offer I had received. On later SAP-focused paths, I worked through practical SAP FICO scenarios, including group reporting, central finance, and case studies where I explained my technical approach. Another SAP track went deeper on SAP…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: Python, HTTP, and compensation tradeoff

Accenture sent me an online coding task, followed by a technical interview with two people and then HR. After the HR conversation, I received an offer. The technical round was polite and calm. We discussed my current project, general software engineering, Python, and HTTP concepts, then did a short live-coding segment. The interviewers were helpful while I worked, and the questions felt relevant…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: two-attempt conversational process

After a quick HR call about the hiring process and possible salary range, I moved into conversations that felt more conversational than intense. I had an hour-long discussion with a hiring manager and developers, focused mainly on background and fit rather than heavy technical grilling. They still wanted to understand how I approached work and what I had built. In another attempt, the process cam…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: Java concurrency and Spring Boot fundamentals

My interview leaned heavily on core fundamentals, and it felt manageable once I settled in. Most questions were about Java and backend concepts: OOP, threading, executor services, how volatile affects concurrency, race conditions, and deadlocks. They also covered Spring Boot ideas such as controller versus REST controller, the N+1 query problem, and one stream-related question. Much of the conver…

Accenture Consultant interview: missed recruiter appointments and automatic removal

I expected proper communication, but the process fell apart. I had multiple stages, long waits, and never received the feedback I specifically requested. That left a sour taste, but it was not the only problem. At one point, I had an appointment and coordinated through messages, but the assigned recruiter did not show up or warn me. A week later, they contacted me abruptly without appointment det…

Accenture Consultant Interview Experience: Half-day assessment centre

After speaking with the recruiter, the process felt pleasantly well run. They were helpful, explained what the role and team expected, and helped me frame my experience around the opportunity. The journey included an online application and online assessment. The last major step was a half-day assessment centre with skills, competency, and experience exercises. It was a lot, but the structure cons…

Accenture Software Engineer Interview Experience: Go for Gold and a broad online assessment

After applying, I first had to complete the Go for Gold experience and earn 2,500 XP points before I could move forward. Then I took an online assessment with quantitative aptitude, gaming-style puzzles, logical reasoning, and more technical aptitude items. The technical portion had two DS questions and SQL queries, plus a frontend-style CSS question and a JavaScript event-listener question. The…

Accenture Software Engineer Interview Experience: Silence after technical rounds

My biggest issue was not the questions. It was the silence afterward. I went through rounds that included a technical interview and completed everything they asked, but I never got a clear result or next steps. My application eventually changed to "no longer under consideration," and I received an email saying the position was closed. It did not arrive with the timely communication that would hav…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: three virtual and office rounds

My journey included three interviews, with a format change near the office stage. The first two were virtual, and the third took place in an Accenture office after scheduling adjustments. Before the technical conversations, I had a recruiter screen that lasted about 30 to 45 minutes. Then I spoke with someone from a developer background for another 30 to 45 minutes. The final step was behavioral…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: JavaScript, React, and architecture

I started with a recruiter screen covering my experience, skills, current role, notice period, salary expectations, the position, and the project it would support. Then came two technical conversations. The first focused on JavaScript and React fundamentals, problem solving, scenario questions, and the projects I had worked on. The second went deeper into architecture and design: scalability, per…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: Python, Django, FastAPI, Pandas, and coding exercises

I had a role-specific technical interview that opened with my project experience. The interviewer then went into Python and its ecosystem: Python itself, Django, FastAPI, and Pandas. They also checked my understanding of OOP and API concepts. The technical discussion quickly became practical. I had multiple Python coding exercises focused on problem solving, where the point was to see how I reaso…

Accenture Software Engineer interview: resume discussion followed by a take-home assessment

I began with a structured early conversation. I introduced myself and went through my resume in detail, especially volunteer work and an internship. We discussed the programming languages and tools I had used, why I was interested in Accenture, and the company's different job levels and what comes with them. That made the call feel more like orientation than a rapid-fire screen. Afterward, I rece…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
