Spotify Software Engineer interview: DSA, system design, and behavioral loop

My process started with an HR screening, followed by a technical and behavioral screen with two engineers. That round used a HackerRank-style setup and included what felt like standard DSA questions. I then went through a full loop with several interview slots: two more DSA coding rounds, one system design round, and one behavioral interview. The format was methodical. Each interviewer seemed to…

Spotify Full Stack Engineer interview: Backend Tech Screen changed to Web Tech Screen

I had a phone screen followed by a technical interview with two senior software engineers. The interview invite initially said "Backend Tech Screen." The night before, the recruiter sent an updated invite that kept the same time. I noticed the change while checking the details, then apologized for sending too many messages. On the day of the interview, I got front-end questions instead. Only afte…

Klaviyo Software Engineer interview: CodeSignal assessment and production-focused final round

My interview process started with a recruiter call and then moved to a CodeSignal assessment. I found the assessment manageable as long as I had practiced the kinds of tasks used in these formats. It focused more on realistic coding than strict LeetCode patterns. The recruiter screen was straightforward. The final interview moved away from pure DSA questions and focused on the day-to-day work of…

Navan Software Engineer interview with CoderPad live coding and a one-hour manager round

After a recruiter call, I had about a week before the next step, which was a technical screen. It was a live coding session on CoderPad, where I worked through a LeetCode-style problem. The setup felt like solving the problem live while the clock was running, so I focused on reaching a correct solution instead of trying to make it fancy. I then moved to a hiring manager round that lasted about an…

ServiceTitan Customer Success Engineer interview with recruiter, manager, and panel

My process felt refreshingly straightforward and well organized. It started with a recruiter screen, followed quickly by a conversation with the hiring manager. The recruiter was warm, and the scheduling and handoff felt seamless, which set a good tone from the beginning. The hiring manager round was thorough and engaged. The interviewer seemed prepared, and the conversation moved naturally. I di…

Grammarly Software Engineer interview with a smooth recruiter experience

Everything was handled smoothly from the beginning, and the recruiter experience really stood out. Communication was responsive, so I never had that awkward waiting period that can drag out a process. The schedule was predictable, and the interviewer conversations were engaging rather than intimidating. Once I moved into the rounds, the interviewers were knowledgeable and supportive, and the tone…

Spotify Software Engineer interview with a difficult technical panel

My first contact was a recruiter call covering the usual basics: my background and resume, why I was interested in Spotify, why the role suited me, current compensation and expectations, work authorization and visa status, and my availability. The later interviews were noticeably harder than the early stages. I reached a technical round with a hiring panel led by a senior-level engineer, and the…

Grammarly Software Engineer interview: supportive technical assessment

After the recruiter call, the process moved quickly and felt professionally run. The recruiter was very responsive and easy to work with, and the interviewers were supportive and engaged. Instead of feeling interrogated, it felt like a real conversation in which they were genuinely interested in my background. The technical portion was calmer than I expected. I completed a technical assessment, f…

Oura Ring Software Engineer interview: TypeScript assessment and take-home project

I went through a harder interview loop than I expected. After I applied, the recruiter took a while to get back to me, but once we connected, scheduling moved quickly. The process centered on technical evaluation, including whiteboarding, live coding, and a take-home component in the later stages. The coding parts felt strict and focused on actual expertise, with a high bar for getting the detail…

HubSpot Solutions Engineer: CodeSignal round followed by a long wait

After an initial screening, I moved into a CodeSignal round, and the process felt quick. The recruitment team was responsive, and it didn't take long to get from the first screen to the CodeSignal stage. The experience felt smooth overall, but I never reached a later stage and eventually received a rejection. On my second attempt, the recruiter asked general questions along with questions about m…

AKUNA CAPITAL Software Engineer interview with four C++ technical rounds

My process started with a HackerRank online assessment and quickly moved into several technical interviews. The first programming question didn’t feel like a typical LeetCode problem. It was more like a medium-level simulation, and it pushed me to think about how the system behaved instead of simply deriving a clean algorithm. After the assessment, I went through four technical interview rounds.…

Klaviyo Data Scientist interview after a referral and team reassignment

I applied online with a referral, and a recruiter contacted me shortly afterward. The timing felt a little unusual because I’d just interviewed with another team, and it seemed that the result of that process influenced what happened next. My impression was that they’d decided internally that I might be a better fit for a different team, even though nobody from the first team had the authority to…

Navan Software Engineer hiring manager conversation

My experience started with a conversation with the hiring manager, and it immediately felt off. I was asked to walk through my experience, but as soon as I began describing projects, she wanted to hear about a different project from my resume. Samsara Software Engineer interview with Level 2 and Level 3 rounds

My interview journey felt like it was built around a lot of rounds and gatekeeping. The process was described as two main stages: Level 2 first, followed by Level 3 if I cleared everything in Level 2. I was told I had to pass all the Level 2 interviews to move forward. Once I became eligible for Level 3, I would go through another set of managerial and technical rounds to finish. Even with that s…

Navan Account Executive interview with a 2 to 3 week case-study process

After a recruiter call, I moved into a manager interview about a week later, followed by a couple more conversations with sales leaders. The process lasted about 2 to 3 weeks rather than dragging on, and I spoke with several people on the sales side. Most of the questions focused on personality and fit. Themes like "tell me about yourself" came up alongside standard sales questions. For the final…

Rocket Lab Systems Engineer interview with a ground-systems project presentation

The interview started cleanly. I spoke with a recruiter first about my background and motivation, then met with the team's manager. The next step was a presentation on an engineering project, which led directly into technical questions. The conversation stayed easygoing rather than adversarial. The technical discussion focused on engineering fundamentals and problem-solving. We talked about how I…

Spotify Data Scientist interview: five-week wait for feedback

My process started with a recruiter screen, followed by a technical round with two MLEs. That part was focused and direct. The final step was a behavioral interview with the hiring manager. Oura Software Engineer interview: TypeScript assessment and take-home deep dive

The most stressful part of my process was the coding work, which started right away with an online assessment. My process started with an initial coding round in PyTorch. I had to implement multi-head attention from scratch, which was more hands-on than I expected. HubSpot Account Executive: mock cold call and manager role plays

I interviewed for the HubSpot Account Executive role. The process was generally straightforward and well explained, with a consistent focus on sales execution over roughly three to four weeks. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid.
