Alten Software Engineer Interview Experience: technical assignments and poor coordination before Carrefour

Alten contacted me on LinkedIn even though I hadn't applied. The recruiter described the process as more of a one-time assessment and said they'd keep my profile for future opportunities even if I chose not to continue. The selection process ended up taking much longer than that explanation suggested. I had a brief HR screen, then an interview with a backend technical lead. That went well, and I…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: Java basics and an in-person managerial round

I had two interview rounds. The first was a technical screen on Java basics, with a string-based DSA question. It was straightforward enough that I could focus on explaining my reasoning as well as giving an answer. The second round was an in-person managerial interview. The behavioral questions were basic, and the interviewer kept returning to the skills on my resume and how I solved problems. I…

GHD Software Engineer Interview Experience: a graduate group project and short individual interview

I found the graduate interview engaging. It began with a group project about Engineering Consultancies, followed by an individual interview. The project helped me understand how they assessed collaboration and shared thinking before learning more about each candidate. My individual interview lasted about ten minutes. It was brief but still connected to the group project, and I had a positive impr…

ALSTOM Software Engineer Interview Experience: aptitude test, group discussion and technical selection

I started with a computer-based aptitude test. It felt straightforward enough to settle into a rhythm, and I saw it as the first real filter. Only candidates who passed moved on. I was then called for a group discussion. There was another shortlist after the discussion, followed by a technical interview. After the recruiter-style stages and technical evaluation, I had a final one-to-one interview…

Accenture Technology Software Engineer Interview Experience: Go for Gold and a mixed-format assessment

Before I could move forward, I had to complete a set of points on the Go for Gold platform. Then I took an online assessment covering quantitative aptitude, game-style puzzles, logical reasoning, and technical aptitude. The mix made it feel as though they wanted to assess a range of skills. The technical questions included two DSA problems, two SQL query tasks, one frontend CSS question, and a Ja…

Accenture Technology Software Engineer Interview Experience: fundamentals, SQL and a supportive process

My interviews covered the basics in a clear sequence: an online assessment, a technical interview, and an HR discussion. The questions focused on programming fundamentals, SQL, and my projects, with some basic aptitude questions mixed in. The interviewers were supportive, and the difficulty felt moderate. The process wasn't chaotic, and I didn't need obscure technical knowledge. It seemed to be a…

Zoho Software Engineer Interview Experience: a full day of tests and virtual interviews at the office

I spent a full day at the office, from late morning until early evening. The setup was strange: I had to bring my own earpiece and take virtual interviews while sitting at their workplace. I'd also brought a printed resume, although it didn't seem likely to be useful. The first round was a one-hour pen-and-paper test with 20 questions: 10 about coding and 10 IQ-style questions. Next came several…

WatchGuard Technologies Software Engineer Interview Experience: DSA and detailed project questions

The interview opened with an intense discussion of DSA fundamentals. First, the interviewer asked me to rate myself in my main programming language. The questions followed that rating and grew harder as we went. We spent a lot of time on my resume. Every project and technology I mentioned led to follow-up questions, and I felt I had to justify my work with technical understanding, not just give a…

AKUNA CAPITAL Quantitative Analyst Interview Experience: Canditech completed but HackerRank access missing

After a recruiter-style step, I was routed into a tightly scheduled online assessment sequence. One Canditech portion was harder and had multiple questions where I was expected to explain my thinking and math as I went. The other portion was supposed to be a HackerRank test immediately afterward, but I never received access despite reaching out multiple times. I did complete Canditech. It had sev…

Amazon Software Engineer interview experience: LP-focused OA loop

I went through an OA-style loop that focused heavily on a weakness of mine: LP. The coding questions were not my main concern because they were relatively straightforward LeetCode-style problems. The interviewers spent about half an hour on linear-programming scenarios and another half hour on coding questions in the same general LeetCode style. That pattern came up across two rounds, so LP was n…

Amazon Software Engineer interview experience: systems prompts and declined offer

After a recruiter-style start, I went straight into a technical process that felt brutal because the hard topics kept piling up. One design prompt asked me to work through a concurrent restaurant waitlist and seating system, which meant reasoning about correctness and coordination instead of reaching for a quick answer. Next came a weighted binary-grid pathfinding problem that tested my algorithm…

Amazon Software Engineer Interview Experience: a virtual onsite across coding, system design, and behavioral work

I began with an online assessment, then moved into a virtual onsite with multiple rounds. The onsite felt like a continuous loop rather than isolated checks. I kept switching between coding, system design, and behavioral questions. The interviewers also explored my prior experience and projects, so I had to explain my background and decisions as well as solve questions. The difficulty felt tough,…

Amazon Software Engineer interview experience: month-long wait before final round

I began with an online assessment that combined technical questions with managerial and behavioral components. Then I waited about a month for an online final-round interview. The final round also mixed technical and behavioral questions. It felt like they were judging both how I solved problems and how I communicated through my experience. The structure itself was straightforward, but I kept hav…

Josh Technology Group Frontend Engineer interview experience: JavaScript OA debugging

After a recruiter touchpoint, I went straight to an OA that was heavily focused on JavaScript. It opened with about 10 to 15 aptitude and reasoning questions, including blood relations and basic science or math. AkunaCapital Quantitative Analyst Interview Experience: a missing HackerRank link stalled two assessments

After a recruiter step, I was given an online assessment split into two back-to-back parts: a HackerRank coding test and a Canditech portion. Canditech also included mental math and a recorded video response within a time limit. I never comple…

Airbus Americas Software Engineer interview experience: verbal coding to AI and HR

I began with a proctored online screen where I was given a coding question and had to answer verbally instead of writing code. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
