Airbus Helicopters Software Engineer interview experience: verbal screen and Skywise

The proctored online screen was an odd format. I got a coding question but had to explain the answer verbally instead of typing it. After that, I had to go to the Airbus office for the next rounds. The second and third rounds were easier and more relaxed than I expected. They were mostly about my projects and what I knew about Skywise and Airbus, with behavioral questions mixed in. I could talk t…

Airbus Group Software Engineer interview experience: verbal coding and AI round

My proctored online screen felt unusual. It included a coding question, but I had to answer it verbally rather than write code in the usual way. For a screening round, it was more technical than I expected. A couple of rounds later, I traveled to the Airbus office. The second and third rounds were easier by comparison and focused on my background, the projects I had worked on, and what I knew abo…

ALTEN México Software Engineer Interview Experience: two fit conversations before a technical interview

The process followed a standard progression: an introductory call, a second getting-to-know-you interview, and finally a technical interview. The idea was to understand who I was first, then test my technical skills. In the early conversations, I discussed my university path, internship experience, and thesis. They also asked what interested me and why I wanted this type of role. The technical in…

Amazon DSP Software Engineer interview experience: OA, fundamentals, and behavioral fit

I started with an online assessment that mixed coding and aptitude questions. After I cleared it, I was invited to one or two technical interviews on fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and broader problem solving. The final step included behavioral questions about communication, teamwork, and fit for a software development engineer track that had an intern-lik…

Amazon DSP Software Engineer interview experience: leadership principles across rounds

Leadership principles became the center of my loop, even though coding was still part of it. I went in expecting generally easy-to-medium LeetCode-style questions, but the interviewers pressed much harder on leadership-principle stories than I expected. Across several rounds, there was a block of leadership-principle drilling followed by coding questions in that same LeetCode vein. The behavioral…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview experience: written problem-solving stage

The first test was assignment-like and covered a broad mix: Java depth questions, React, SQL, and some DevOps. After my first round, there was also a paper-based written problem-solving step. I was rejected at that written stage. I had traveled a long way for the interview and did not feel ready enough after dealing with the timing and logistics. With more than 40 hours spent traveling, I was not…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer interview experience: coding and leadership principles

I began with an online assessment that had one data-structure coding question and an AI coding question. Then came four interviews. Two combined data-structure coding with leadership-principles discussion, another paired low-level design with leadership principles, and the bar-raiser-style round was leadership principles only. Leadership themes came up even in rounds that otherwise felt technical…

Anduril Software Engineer interview experience: HackerRank and ghosting

I started with a recruiter conversation that was kind and upbeat. Afterward, I received a HackerRank assignment, completed it, and waited. Then the process went quiet and I was ghosted. The positive recruiting call made the lack of any follow-up after the take-home feel especially abrupt. From what I saw, the broader process usually went from recruiter conversations to an engineering screen and t…

ALTEN Technology USA Software Engineer interview experience: three structured conversations

The process had three clear parts. After an introductory recruiter conversation, I had another discussion focused on getting to know me as a person. Then came a technical interview that tested my skills more directly. The difficulty was about average. It was not an intense grilling, but it was more than small talk. The order stood out to me: personal fit first, then ability. I had expected lighte…

Alten Spain Software Engineer Interview Experience: recruiter, business manager, and technical stages

My process was fairly straightforward: first an introductory recruiter call, then an interview with the business manager, and finally a technical interview. The early stages were meant to get to know me, my experience and skills, and my path and expectations. After the HR and manager conversations, the technical stage tested my skills. The format felt classic: fit and role framing first, then tec…

Alten Delivery Centre Spain Software Engineer interview experience: broad role and compensation

After the first contact, the process was presented as a clear sequence: an introductory call to understand who I was, then a personal interview that was also meant to get to know me, and finally a dedicated technical interview where my skills were tested. The experience itself was smooth, without obvious detours or problems. I expected a narrower focus, but the role appeared to carry a fairly bro…

Alten Software Engineer interview experience: technical C++ exercise and role-fit doubts

My Alten process was fairly structured. It started with an introductory call, then a get-to-know-you interview, followed by a technical stage intended to test my skills. The early conversations were about me and my experience, including university, internships, my thesis, and what genuinely interested me. The technical stage was more concrete. I was asked technical questions and given situations…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: AI topics, networking, DSA, and HackerRank

My process began with assessments across several areas. An online assessment covered AI-related topics, networking, and DSA. Later, an onsite assessment required coding on HackerRank. The final technical portion was described as a mix of DSA, resume and project discussion, an introduction, and deeper dives into AI workflow pieces. I remember questions about MCP, RAG, and other AI protocols such a…

Cadence Design Systems Software Engineer interview experience: communication and reasoning

Scheduling moved quickly by email after I applied. The plan included two technical rounds and one behavioral round, with theory and coding-style questions mixed together. In practice, it felt more like a competency evaluation than a pure coding test. Later conversations put me with technical staff, HR, and directors one after another. The technical questions were mostly basic grounding, including…

Cadence Design Systems Software Engineer Interview Experience: senior-engineer rounds and a final panel presentation

After I applied, the process moved through multiple structured rounds. A recruiter started the conversation, followed soon by a hiring-manager discussion. The intervening rounds were with senior engineers, and the overall tone was more about the role and my background than trying to catch me with trick questions. The final round was not another one-on-one technical conversation. It was a panel pr…

BAE Systems Software Engineer interview experience: timed games and video questions

The main assessment leaned heavily on games and video. I completed HireVue recordings with several recorded questions and additional written prompts. It felt difficult because it tested speed, pattern recognition, and mental math, not just recall. One numeracy game gave me a starting number and a set of operations. I had to choose the pair of numbers that reached a target through addition, subtra…

Hot Topic Account Executive interview experience: a quick store-manager conversation

After applying, I went through a quick, low-stakes process. A recruiter-style call came first. About a week later, I had a technical or sales-screen-style conversation that stayed casual and direct. I spoke with a manager in the store about the usual retail topics…

ADCI - Karnataka Software Engineer Interview Experience: a Java, React, SQL, and DevOps assignment

My path began with an assignment that mixed Java depth, React, some SQL, and a smaller DevOps component. It was substantial and felt designed to test end-to-end reasoning rather than isolated coding. The process felt longer and less efficient than it needed to be. I had four back-to-back interviews that lasted more than 2 to 3 hours. Several interviewers seemed disengaged, and the conversations had very little energy. Different people asked the same questions abo…

Dell Tech Laboratories Software Engineer interview experience: home assignment and onsite

My hiring loop began with a home assignment, before I reached the onsite. After submitting it, I attended an onsite that lasted about 1.5 hours and included three questions. Across those two technical questions, the bar fel…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.
