Supermicro Software Engineer interview experience: misaligned hypothetical questions

The interview felt misaligned with the job. It lasted about an hour, but the questions were mostly hypothetical scenarios that did not reflect my current role and seemed aimed at a different domain. Instead of discussing day-to-day software work or my approach to it, the conversation focused on structural or mechanical topics and knowledge of proprietary information in a growing industry. It did…

Tavant Software Engineer interview experience: fast technical rounds

The process moved quickly. After an initial coding step, I had two back-to-back technical rounds and then an MR and HR discussion. It all finished in about a week, with little slack between stages. For the final round, I was expected to visit the office. That made the last part feel more formal and committed than the earlier fast sequence. I did not receive an offer. Still, the cadence was effici…

Workday Software Engineer interview experience: REST APIs and internship leadership

The first step was meant to be a recruiter screen, but a technical staff member conducted it. I began with the usual behavioral introduction, and the conversation soon shifted into technical territory. They asked about my resume, REST APIs, and leadership examples from my most recent internship. Although the opening sounded as if it would be light, the later questions checked both how I communica…

SAP Consultant interview experience: paper DSA and project decisions

I began with an online assessment that included an OA and two DSA-focused questions at about a medium LeetCode level. The technical interview then drew from my resume, including choices I had made in earlier projects, SQL, database management, Python, and more DSA. Next was a combined managerial and technical interview. I solved a LeetCode Hard-style DSA problem on paper, alongside behavioral and…

Rippling Software Engineer interview experience: financial precision coding

The coding challenge was the familiar driver-delivery system problem, and I had heard that Rippling used a relatively small pool of widely discussed questions. Financial representation mattered a great deal during the implementation. I had to justify using a particular numeric type instead of floating point. A copilot-style assistant inserted changes that did not meet the precision requirements.…

Micro1 Software Engineer interview experience: AI-guided questions

I began with an assessment, then completed a fully AI-guided interview. The virtual interviewer asked about my programming experience, software engineering fundamentals, and earlier projects. No live person spoke with me. The format was direct. The bot parsed what I said and used that to choose the next question, either confirming my understanding or asking for more detail. That made it feel less…

Ramp Account Executive interview experience: 45-minute presentation

The process was long. The recruiter kept me updated, but the timeline still stretched out to roughly six interviews. The biggest demand was a 45-minute presentation that took about 20 hours to prepare. I received positive feedback during the stages I completed, so I expected a clearer ending. Instead, I got a rejection email with almost no explanation. After putting in that much time, I wished th…

Altimetrik Full Stack Engineer interview experience: one-hour MS Teams coding

I had one technical interview on MS Teams that lasted an hour. The interviewer was friendly, and I shared my screen and wrote code in the IDE I used for the assigned problems. The session went reasonably well. What stayed with me was the lack of closure afterward: there was no feedback after that first round, so I was left wondering how I had done. The interview itself felt okay, but the missing…

ALTEN México Software Engineer interview experience: technology-choice Coding Game

I started with a Coding Game after receiving a list of technologies to choose from. It was a concrete way to see how I approached work instead of beginning with theory questions. After the test, the recruiter described the projects I might work on. That final conversation was not only about evaluation; it also considered where I could fit. The difficulty felt moderate. I did not receive an offer,…

ALTEN Belgium Software Engineer interview experience: technology-list coding game

The assessment began with a coding exercise. I received a technology list by email and used it to complete a coding game, which made the technical portion self-directed while still requiring me to implement something. Afterward, I spoke with the recruiter about available projects. That discussion gave the technical work context and suggested there could be a way to match me with an appropriate pr…

Amazon Development Center U.S. Software Engineer interview experience: grid paths and RAG

My on-campus Amazon SDE Intern process began with an online assessment. It combined coding with a Leadership Principles work simulation and a feedback or workstyle component. Only some students from the campus drive were shortlisted for the OA. The coding included sorting IDs by frequency with smaller-ID tie-breaking, and an array-transformation minimum-cost problem based on greedy reasoning and…

Aubay Spain Software Engineer interview experience: Java, Spring, SQL, and Docker

The process began with a formal HR discussion of my background, motivations, and the professional projects I wanted next. I also received an overview of the company and its opportunities. Afterwards, I took an in-office technical test in Boulogne-Billancourt. That was the difficult part. It covered Java, Spring, SQL, and Docker backend fundamentals through knowledge checks, practical exercises, a…

ALTEN Technology USA Software Engineer interview experience: mission fit and Java

My first experience was an HR phone introduction about my background and motivations. I did not continue because the available assignments were all connected to the army, which did not fit what I wanted. Alten Nederland Software Engineer interview experience: OOP and Coding Game

The selection had several steps and a substantial practical element. Alten Delivery Centre Spain Software Engineer interview experience: Java Coding Game

After the recruiter stage, I took a Coding Game test. They emailed a list of technologies I could choose from, and the assessment used game-like questions and problems. Alten Software Engineer interview experience: two HR phone calls

I started with two HR phone calls. The first explored my profile and directed the application; the second was meant to arrange an appointment where I could demonstrate my skills. ALSTOM Software Engineer interview experience: direct manager outreach

A manager contacted me directly, and we met for an interview. The conversation felt fine, but there was no follow-up afterward. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid.
