Siemens Software Engineer interview: two rounds and a hiring-manager discussion

In the recruiter call, we agreed on availability and I was told to expect two rounds focused on AI/ML. The HR step was straightforward, with basic questions related to the role. I also sent some details by email and booked a Microsoft Teams slot. A short time later, I met the hiring manager online for the main discussion. We focused on my background and how it connected with the role's needs. The…

Rockstar Games Software Engineer interview: FiveM and RedM community assessment

My recruiter conversation covered my background, experience and interest in Rockstar. A little later, I met members of the Community team for a deeper interview about community management and creator relationships. We worked through ways to handle issues in the FiveM and RedM communities. The next step was a timed written assessment on CoderPad. It covered more than coding: I responded to communi…

Rockstar Software Engineer interview: community scenarios and an eleven-week process

After speaking with a recruiter, I moved into interviews focused on the community side of the role. The first deeper conversation was with the Community team. We discussed community management and creator relations, including what I'd do when situations didn't go as expected and how I'd maintain relationships with creators and the wider audience. Next, I completed a timed written assessment on Co…

Rocket Lab Software Engineer interview: technical rounds, presentation and an onsite tour

The process lasted a little over a month. After a recruiter call, I waited a week or two for a virtual hiring-manager interview, then had a technical interview with an engineer on the team. Those conversations followed a similar pattern: my resume, how I'd handled previous work and engineering fundamentals such as debugging and problem solving. The later stages were more demanding. I needed to de…

Revolut Operations Manager interview: competency screening and psychometric testing

The first HR screening call was fairly intense. It opened with why I wanted to work at Revolut, then quickly moved to competency questions connecting my experience with the role. The pace made it feel as though they wanted to establish fit early. An online psychometric test was scheduled within the next few days. After the assessment, I had a more detailed discussion with a hiring manager, follow…

Revolut Operations Manager interview: aptitude tests and a prepared case discussion

I started with an HR screening interview, followed by a couple of online assessments. One covered work style, and another tested criteria or aptitude. After those, I moved to a problem-solving case. HR gave me a 15-minute preparation session before the case discussion. It made the process feel tightly organized, though also high-pressure. I found the rounds difficult. The early tests felt decisiv…

TikTok Shop Software Engineer interview: coding explanations and detailed follow-ups

After a recruiter call, I went through a short series of online interviews. We started with my background and projects, then moved to a medium LeetCode-style question. I had to explain my approach and why I'd chosen it. The interviewer kept returning to the details, almost walking through every step again, and I grew more nervous as the questions continued. The coding itself felt manageable. When…

Visa Software Engineer interview: payment states, retries and reference checks

I started with an online HackerRank test, then had a series of virtual interviews. The first technical round covered data structures, algorithms and system design. Later conversations went deeper into design and leadership. The DSA questions felt like familiar structured problems, but I still had to find a correct approach under time pressure. In system design, I needed to explain trade-offs in d…

Verkada Software Engineer interview: product troubleshooting and networking

The interviews moved quickly after my recruiter conversation. I had three rounds, starting with a behavioral discussion about my background, who I was and what interested me in the company. The second round was the most technical. I worked through two coding-style questions involving connecting someone to the internet and troubleshooting a Verkada product. The questions felt practical: I had to t…

Veeam QA Engineer interview: homework and a two-hour technical panel

The process was demanding, with one stage seeming to lead to another. I began with a technical homework assignment. Next, I answered prepared questions online while staying on a call for a technical interview. That round felt rigid and focused on completing the tasks. I then had a one-on-one technical conversation. The final stage was more intense: a two-hour technical interview with three hiring…

Tredence Data Engineer interview: PySpark, Spark architecture and SQL

After an initial recruiter-style conversation, I had a focused technical screen that lasted about 30 minutes. We discussed PySpark, SQL and how I worked with Azure Databricks. The panel's tone felt positive. The questions covered data engineering fundamentals. I explained Spark architecture in detail, talked through ways to parse JSON and, toward the end, wrote a SQL query to find three consecuti…

Tanium Software Engineer interview: recruiter silence and canceled technical interviews

The start was discouraging. Two recruiters contacted me on LinkedIn and asked for my resume and contact details. One disappeared entirely. The other said the role was not live yet and should open the following week. That week passed without a response or a job posting. I followed up anyway and got nothing back. After they had confirmed the outreach was real, the lack of basic professional courtes…

Zoho Software Engineer interview: Java paper round and longer coding round

The first round was on paper. It covered aptitude and Java output-prediction questions, with an exam-like feel. I sat with the questions in front of me, and the emphasis seemed to be fundamentals rather than tricks. The second round was a short coding segment with easy problems. It felt like a quick check of core logic, not a deep algorithms session. The third round lasted longer and asked more o…

AbbVie Software Engineer interview: academic and project science questions

Two managers spent most of the interview on my academic background and project work. They asked scientific questions about what I had done during my bachelor's degree and in the projects I had worked on, so the discussion stayed close to my own experience. The questions were specific and technical enough that the difficulty felt high. I could answer them fairly well because they connected to work…

Wipro Software Engineer interview: communication-focused easy screening

The process felt unusually easy. Most of the attention was on how I communicated: my accent, vocabulary, and whether I could express myself clearly. It was not a heavy technical grilling. The questions were simple and personal. I was asked to talk about myself, my hobbies, and what I had done the previous weekend. Because the conversation stayed light, I never felt as though I was being tested on…

Amazon Account Executive interview: strict behavioral calibration

The first call set a hard tone. It felt as though the interviewer had very strict expectations: if an answer was not perfect, or was even a little off, the message was that I would not be a fit for the role. Even with that pressure, the process followed a recognizable behavioral format. The questions were tied to my experience and to how I had handled prior situations. The atmosphere shifted betw…

ABB Software Engineer interview: system design with manager and team

My interview path was straightforward: an HR screen, a conversation with the hiring manager, and then a meeting with the team. I concentrated on explaining my thinking through the system-design promp…

Arctic Wolf Software Engineer interview: two coding questions in forty minutes

I expected a more hands-on process, but the first interview stayed fairly high level. I was invited to the office, where most of the panel was in the room even though one interviewer joined remotely. We spent most of the time on my past experience, how I had handled problems on earlier projects, and how I explained my reasoning. There was no coding exercise or deep implementation discussion. Tata Consultancy Services (North America) Consultant interview: walk-in follow-up stalled

The process lasted much longer than I expected. It started with a walk-in interview. After some time, I got a call asking me to upload documents, and later I was asked to take a screenshot with a panel. That was where everything slowed down. I waited for the next message and checked again weeks later, but there was still no meaningful update. The questions themselves were not the main problem. Th…

Stripe Account Executive interview: rushed mock discovery call

It began like a normal recruiter screen, then moved straight into back-to-back meetings with a peer and the hiring manager. A short mock discovery call was on the schedule, but the manager arrived late. We ran out of time before I could properly debrief the exercise, so the day felt rushed instead of considered. The silence after the meetings left a strange aftertaste. I was told the interviews w…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
