ASML Software Engineer interview: a single-attempt HireVue video screen

I started with a HireVue video round where I recorded answers to a few prompts on my own time. It was straightforward and low stakes, mostly common questions about me rather than deep technical material. The unusual part was talking to a camera instead of a person, but the questions did not ask for anything unexpected. The format was consistent: short preparation, a brief response window, and one…

NVIDIA Embedded Engineer interview: bit manipulation and register operations

I interviewed at the Yokneam site with a team leader and another employee. They began by explaining the company and role, then asked me to introduce myself and walk through a university project. I needed to explain in real detail how it was implemented and why I had made particular design choices. The technical section then became very hardware and low level. I got a bit-manipulation question, fo…

Mastercard Software Engineer interview: a rushed EV design and BFS coding round

My Karat round was fast, high pressure, and oddly disorganized. The interviewer had a list of questions to get through, so there was little room for a natural conversation. I got a system-design question about an EV charging scenario, and they covered multiple items in a way that made it hard to go deep on the design choices. Then I had a LeetCode-style coding problem with under 20 minutes. It wa…

Capital One Product Manager interview: respectful conversations about team culture

This was one of the smoother interview experiences I had. The people I spoke with felt genuinely strong, and I liked how they talked about the role and the team I would be working with. The conversations gave me a real sense of the company culture and did not feel rushed past the context. The tone stayed positive, and I left understanding what the job involved. I did not get an offer, but I would…

Capital One Business Analyst interview: clarifying a game-launch case question

The hardest part for me was a case interview where I initially struggled to understand the question. The interviewer guided me through calculating the answer across a series of steps, but I could not fully follow what they were asking. I kept clarifying and asking questions. The case was about launching a new game with free and paid visibility in the market. Even with the guidance, it was tense b…

Apple Software Engineer interview: CMOS logic and architecture reasoning

After a recruiter chat, I moved through structured rounds that felt focused and practical. The first round asked me to explain core flow stages end to end, tying each stage's inputs to its purpose. The questions soon became more specific, including level shifting, isolation cells, and how CMOS logic works for an inverter. The virtual onsite was about how I approached an engineering problem, not j…

Google Software Engineer interview: referral, six coding questions, and support

A referral started my loop and moved me to a recruiter call sooner than I expected. The process then had three coding rounds, each with two LeetCode-style questions, a system-design interview, and a behavioral interview. The overall vibe sat in the middle: challenging but not cruel. In the coding rounds, I needed to solve cleanly, communicate clearly, and handle follow-ups instead of treating the…

Microsoft Software Engineer interview: correct solutions that still timed out

My technical rounds were mostly classic DSA questions, but efficiency mattered most. I could tell they were judging more than whether my logic worked. My approach also had to be optimized enough to pass the last few tests. Time limits were part of the challenge, and if I wrote something too slow, the end of the test suite failed. The process stayed focused on performance. The stressful part was n…

Mercor Software Engineer interview: a three-part HackerRank-style OA

After applying online, I received an online assessment on HackerRank-style tests with three sections. It covered data structures and algorithms, data pipelines, and SQL questions. Not long afterward, I had a 30-minute conversation with the hiring manager. It was mostly behavioral, with a few technical discussions mixed in. It felt like a standard early loop, with the OA setting the tone and the r…

A healthcare data Software Engineer interview: client-facing technical discussion

My interview followed a classic sequence: two technical-style rounds, a manager round, and an HR touchpoint. The first technical discussion focused on my core skills and what I could actually do, with enough fundamentals to judge whether my background matched the role. The second round was more advanced and realistic. I spoke with someone closer to a client setting, and they went deeper technical…

Accenture España Software Engineer interview: a month of scheduling and silence

The interviews were not my biggest issue. I was left hanging afterward. Scheduling dragged on, and I had to keep booking slots almost every week for nearly a month before anything was set. After I finished the interview, HR did not give me a meaningful response. My emails went unanswered, and nobody picked up my phone calls. Even after I completed rounds and document verification, I still had no…

Guitar Center Account Executive interview: relaxed store role-play with managers

I started with a recruiter-style setup that felt fast and straightforward. After an initial conversation to line things up, I had a phone screen and then an in-person interview. At the store, I met with multiple managers. They asked about my background, how I worked with people, my fit for the role and store culture. Most questions stayed close to my CV: sales experience, how I approached custome…

An applied AI Software Engineer interview: rushed EV charging design discussion

I got pulled into a Karat-driven stage that felt chaotic and rushed from the start. It was split evenly between system design and a DSA problem-solving block. I was asked to design an EV charging-station app that could find the nearest station and handle payments, and I was pushed to move quickly. The conversation barely felt like a design discussion. I spent a lot of time on basic whiteboard too…

Amazon DSP Software Engineer Interview Experience: Patient queue-with-two-stacks discussion

My process began with an OA containing algorithm practice. One problem was a relatively approachable sliding-window task, and the other involved binary search. I then had a live technical interview where I implemented a queue using two stacks. The questions were technical and the session was back to back, but the interviewers were patient. They listened while I fully explained my reasoning instea…

Amazon Development Center U.S. Software Engineer Interview Experience: Queue with two stacks

After applying, I completed an online assessment with two algorithm-focused problems. One was a sliding-window task and the other involved binary search. It felt less like vague theory and more like recognizing the right pattern and implementing it within the time limit. After passing, I moved to coding-first stages. In one round, I implemented a queue using two stacks, working through the mechan…

Amazon Advertising Software Engineer Interview Experience: Sliding window, binary search, and debugging

After completing my OA, I moved into a live technical screen with LeetCode-style problems. One used sliding-window logic and another used binary search. There was also a leadership-expectations conversation where I described a time I debugged an error: what went wrong, how I investigated it, and what I changed to prevent it from happening again. The pace was quick, so I had to stay with the main…

Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: Same-day coding and low-level design

My interview had two rounds on the same day. First was an online assessment where I could choose between coding problems and had about 30 minutes to solve one. I then had a technical interview focused heavily on core computer-science fundamentals and the projects on my resume. The technical interviewer also introduced low-level design. They tested my problem-solving and communication as well as w…

I completed a HireVue-style process with an AI-marked video component and an extended-response question. The process also had short video introductions, extra prompts paired with multiple-choice items, and…

The second round mixed technical and managerial topic…

What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
