AKUNA CAPITAL Quantitative Analyst interview with two hour-long probability rounds

I went through an assessment-heavy process in which the later rounds shifted from coding toward deeper probability. After passing the earlier online steps, I reached a technical screen focused on probability and statistics. It was genuinely hard and reminded me of the tougher Greenbook-style questions people mention for quant research. As I progressed, the final interviews focused almost entirely…

Zscaler Software Engineer interview after an 8-month job hunt

I came out of an 8-month job hunt, and once things started moving at Zscaler, they moved quickly. I had been working at Oracle as an SMTS (IC3) until I was laid off in September 2025. My application timeline ran roughly from November 2025 to May 2026. My path to the offer involved both outreach and applications. I used referral support and applied directly through the company's portal. I stayed i…

Spotify Software Engineer interview with a 75-minute side-project and coding session

After speaking with a recruiter by phone, I moved into one focused interview with a senior software engineer. It lasted about 75 minutes. The format was structured: I introduced a side project, then answered technical questions based on what I'd shared, and finally did live coding in the style of classic LeetCode problems. The pacing felt fairly straightforward, but the interview was still techni…

ServiceTitan Account Executive, cold outreach role-play

My interview process started with a recruiter conversation, followed by a second round that focused on how I handled the sales discussion and the details behind it. After that round, I heard nothing. I followed up with the recruiter and still got no response, so it felt like I was ghosted after investing time in the process. The role-play case study focused heavily on outbound behavior, even thou…

Zscaler Account Executive objection-handling role plays

The process started with a recruiter screen, followed by a round with two interviewers at the same time. That middle stage was more hands-on. I had to work through an objection-handling role play, which forced me to focus on responding in the moment instead of polishing a perfect story. After that, I had another round with senior leadership and a new role-play scenario. The interviews focused on…

Zscaler Software Engineer Senior Staff SDE offer in May 2026

I applied for a Senior Staff SDE role at Zscaler through a referral and direct portal applications. After I entered the pipeline, a recruiter reached out, and the process started to feel more organized. The process led to an offer in May 2026. The recruiter kept communication on track, which made it clear that the company was actively reviewing my profile. I accepted the offer for the Senior Staf…

Zscaler Software Engineer: role-focused questions and a poor interview experience

The process was fairly simple and focused on the role. I saw more situation-based and role-based questions than anything overly abstract. What frustrated me was the way the interview was conducted. The upper-management participants seemed completely disinterested, which made the conversation feel less respectful than it could have been. I didn’t feel the warmth or cordial engagement I’ve come to…

Whatnot Account Executive: HR conversation followed by a director interview

My experience was fairly simple and conventional. I first had a conversation with an HR professional, which was pleasant and followed standard questions. Soon after, I met with a director for a second round, and that conversation also felt straightforward. Overall, it didn't feel like a complicated, multi-day process. It was a typical process with two meaningful touchpoints. I followed up to ask…

Klaviyo Account Executive: Mock Discovery Call and In-Person Panel

My process began with a recruiter screen and then moved to a hiring manager interview. Most of the questions focused on my experience, along with situational prompts such as walking through a time I handled a specific situation. The recruiter and hiring manager conversations had a similar structure, although the recruiter also explained what to expect and how success would be measured. The next s…

Lyft Software Engineer Interview Experience: A transactional recruiter screen

The recruiter screen set a rough tone immediately. I came in for a backend engineering role, but the conversation felt overly transactional, as though boxes were being checked instead of discussing the technical impact I had delivered. I shared concrete examples from past work, including architecture decisions, optimizations, and engineering scenarios. I expected the conversation to connect those…

L'Oréal Marketing Analytics Specialist Interview Experience: Initial fit screen

The process began with an HR interview framed as an energy check. HR would decide whether they liked my vibe before taking me further. I would have met the rest of the team afterward, but I did not get past the first conversation. This was more about whether the discussion landed well than about role-heavy content. It was clear that the first round was intended to filter for interpersonal fit. Th…

Datadog Solutions Engineer Interview Experience: Deep technical final stage

I went through a standard multi-round Solutions Engineer process. It opened with an English-language HR conversation about who I was, whether I knew Datadog, and my salary expectations. Next came an online HackerRank test with prompts on SQL, Linux, containers, APIs, and installing and setting up a Datadog agent. I then met the hiring manager for behavioral questions with some technical content b…

Microsoft Software Engineer Interview Experience: A demanding opening test

Before I could speak with a recruiter, I had to clear a technical test. It was challenging enough to feel like a real filter and about what I expected from Microsoft. Once I passed that hurdle, the rest of the process moved forward, but I did not receive an offer. The test set the tone immediately, and the bar felt consistent with Microsoft's reputation. My main takeaway was that proving I could…

Addepar Software Engineer Interview Experience: Positive feedback followed by silence

My journey went through several rounds before stalling in a way that did not match the conversations. I had an introductory call with a director or hiring manager, LeetCode-style medium coding questions, a system design round, a manager behavioral round, and an additional HR touchpoint. The technical discussions felt fair and generally solid while I was in them. The problem appeared after the fin…

ABC Family Software Engineer Interview Experience: Testing and validation background

The interview centered on my testing background and real validation work. In discussing my projects, I covered automation and API validation, then moved into SQL and integration testing. Instead, the focus was on whether I could explain my process and…

Amazon Kuiper Commercial Services Software Engineer Interview Experience: Two same-day technical rounds

BairesDev Software Engineer Interview Experience: Approved but placed on a waiting list

The journey had the feel of a complete pipeline: a short video presentation, tests on the company platform, an HR screening, a technical interview with engineering, and another conversation with a team leader. Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: AI-led first round

My earliest round was led by an AI interviewer, and the structure was obvious from the start. Instead of a free-form conversation, the system asked a main question and then chose a follow-up based on my earlier answer. It seemed to be testing both technical grounding and my ability to reason and respond in real time. Those follow-ups made it more than a questionnaire. The AI used what I had said…

Infosys Finacle Systems Engineer Interview Experience: Coding then managerial round

The process was simple and felt more like a filter than a string of endless rounds. I had two main interviews: a coding round followed by a managerial round. Infosys Finacle Software Engineer Interview Experience: Deep technical questions and delays

The process was more intense than I expected. The early indication was that the technical rounds would go deep into my resume, and they did. What are interview experiences?

An interview experience is a candidate's own account of a hiring loop — not a question bank entry. It tells you the shape of the process: how many rounds there were, what each round actually tested, how long the gaps between them ran, and what the recruiter said at the end. That context is the part a question list cannot give you.

How to read them

Weight recent write-ups more heavily — interview loops change, often within a year. Read several for the same company and role rather than one: a single account tells you what one interviewer asked, while five tell you what the bar is. Note the outcome badge too, since a rejection write-up usually explains the gap far more precisely than an offer one.

Share your own

Every published experience earns 50 XP, and each of the first 3 likes it receives in a day earns you 10 XP more. Likes must come from established accounts; like-for-like swaps and likes from your own second account are not paid. Write it while the details are fresh — the round order, the exact prompts, and how much time you were given are what the next reader needs.
